Author's note: Hello, dreamers! I first wrote this story on a whim, so it didn't have a prologue! I've decided, "Hey, this story needs a prologue," so I added one! It's just a short prologue about Lilith making a wish about Dire! So, with that out of the way, enjoy!

Prologue: The Wish
It was a rainy night, one of the rainiest ones in the history of Haventown, and Lilith was on a mission. She trekked up to The River of Wishes, with only one person in mind...
Dire... I'm going to bring you home... Lilith thought. She reached the wizard that guarded the river and asked him if she could drink the waters.
"Please... I just want Dire back..." Lilith said.
"You wish to save someone you love... You may pass." He moved out of the way for Lilith.
Lilith went to the water and drank. She made her wish. I wish Dire was still alive... Suddenly, her body began to glow... she glowed brighter and brighter, then she disappeared.
Lilith woke up and didn't know where she was at first. Then she saw Dio freezing Dire, and knew instantly what was happening around her...
I've been given a second chance... I've gone back to save Dire... Lilith thought. She summoned her strength and stood.
Author's note: So, there you have it! Lilith made a wish and went back to the moment before Dire died! But she didn't know what saving him would do...
