The Wilds of the Kingdom and the Ice Fire

Chapter two

Midnight's P.O.V

Today, my life feels like....... I don't know how I feel anymore after I died, somehow, and became insane Midnight. It is cool sometimes, but sometimes I wish I had someone who was just like me and understands how I feel, if only.......

Suddenly the door to my room creaked open slowly, and there standing in the doorway is this person I never met before.

"Oh! Sorry, I should have knocked. I'm Tick, by the way. I'm new." He starts to back out the doorway when I call him back.

"It's okay. Why don't you come in?" I stare at him for a moment or two, thinking, was my wish to come true. As I was thinking Tick came over and sat next to me on the bed and asked

"What's your name?" he sits close, real close, too close for comfort.

"I-It's Mi-Midnight." I said with a little shake in my voice, my heart was trying to escape my chest as he stared at me with this love-longing look and I knew what he was thinking and I thought my wish did come true. As I thought that he came closer, then and there I noticed that he WAS like me, he was a zombie then all of the sudden something that I thought I would never do ever was that I kissed him on the lips. He was surprised at first, then he put his arm around my waist and kissed me. He did a sort of smirk smile to me and that made my heart leap in my chest. I smiled back at him with this sly shy look. Then I remembered that he was new and probably need a room so I asked.

"Do you need a room by any chance, because there is one right across from my room if you want it?"

"Yes, I do need a room, thanks." he says to me and kisses me on the cheek and walks to the room across from me. As he closes the door I dash over to my desk computer and call my best friend Cass. "Hey Cass, did you know about someone new coming, because I think I just met him!"

"Wait, you met probably met Tick just now because there is not just one new member, there are two. One's named Tock."

"Well, guess what?"

"What? What happened?!"

"I might have kissed him and I barely know him at all!"

"WHAT?!?!?"

"I know right, that's what I was thinking till he kissed me back!"

"REALLY!?!?"

"Yes, it was magic, because right before he entered the room I wished that there was someone like me to love me and understand me and then BAM he enters my life! *Sigh*"

"Wow, I mean WOW, two things I got to say to you, One: This is not you just to kiss someone in this situation and Two: I am proud of you for getting your first kiss. YOU GO GURL!"

"Thanks, should I tell Rosie or tell her later?"

"Just wait till the right time comes to tell her what happened later right now I think you show go talk to him a little bit more, kay?"

"Ok."

I hang up on Cass, I take a deep deep breath,"You know what I am going over there and spend some time with him and talk with him a little." I said with confidence. " But first, I want to look nice at least"

I go and get the desktop and call Cass up again.

"Yes?" says Cass

"You think you can do some make up job on me, please, Cass before I go somewhere?"

"Ok, I'll be there in a minute."

After a hard work of trying to make me look "perfect" she was done and yes I admit it she did a pretty good job on me too. After that I went to Tick's door. I stop and reconsider going in but then my small enclosed fist got the best of me and knocked on the door. Moments later the door opened and Tick was standing in the doorway. He looked at me for a moment or two and then smiled at me and said " Hello there, you need something, Midnight?" he looked at me with longing, like he knew what I was here for. " May I come in, if that's okay with you, to help you get settled in ?"

He looks at me in confusion as if he was wrong at what he thought I was here for.

"Sure." he smiles again and lets me in. As I entered, the room was different, then I thought because I had never had been in the room next me. It was a little dirty and dusty, but it wasn't so bad over all.

"So I that you came with your brother and someone else here, is that correct?" I asked then looked over to him and his smiled disappeared, instead was a sad look that sent a chill through my skin.

"Was it something I said?" I question myself why I was here and that I might want to leave the room to give him some space but the next thing I knew he was right next to me holding my arm close to his body.

"Can I tell you something, Midnight?" he questioned me as he lead me towards his bed.

"Sure you can tell me anything you want Tick, what is bothering you?" I asked worried that it might be bad.

"Well..." he said not sure what to say to me. "My master died today."

As he explained what happened I know knew why Tick was a little upset when I asked him the question.

"It's ok, sometimes people have to die too, like we did......."

I paused in the sentence I started, a blood stain tear rolls down my blood red stained cheeks.

"Yeah, I guess you're right Midnight" He looked at me with a little smile. Then again the same thing happens to me when it happened in my room only this time it was Ticks first move. He leaned over and kissed me on the lips.
