lorelai walks into the diner in a caffeine rush.
"coffee. now." she demands.
luke looks down at her. "ah, you're here. again?"
"yep and i bring a sleeping rory," she uncovers the baby.
"im not a baby person. or a kid person. or a people person." he mutters.
"i figured," she teases him with a giggle.
he rolls his eyes.
"coffee please?" she begs with puppy dog eyes.
"fine," he serves her.
"you're a saint!" she takes a sip of the great coffee, picks it up, and walks out.
"lorela-" he starts.
"forgot the baby!" she picks rory up, and exits the second time.
he really wanted to ask her on a date, not having anything to do with the baby, but she comes and goes too fast.
rory looks up at her mother.
"oh fine," she gives her a sip of the coffee.
walking a mile a minute, she stumbles into patricia lacosta and babette dell.
"hiya doll!" babette greets the fast talking, fast walking girl.
"hi babette!" she greets back.
"so who's that hunk of a diner owner?" miss patty winks.
"oh his name is luke." she informs her.
"well i knew that, it says 'lukes' on the sign," miss patty says back.
"what's going on between you two?" babette suggests.
"we just met, babette!" she looks embarrassed.
"but is he hot?" miss patty winks.
"oh smokin', sugar!" babette exclaims.
lorelai just walks away from the crazy that is patty and babette.
"she likes him," miss patty declares as lorelai walks away.
"hey sookie," lorelai walks into the independence inn.
"hey!" sookie says.
"coffee?" sookie offers her.
lorelai shows her the coffee from lukes in her hand.
"oh you've got coffee already?" sookie asks.
"yep."
sookie looks at the mug, trying to read it. "oh oh oh!! that's a boys name!"
"yeah?" lorelai responds.
sookie suggestively looks at her.
"oh sookie no!" she exclaims.
"well i mean rorys alive." sookie states.
lorelai scoffs.
she scoffed because she knew sookie was right. but she didn't want to admit it, because of chris. she was over bad romance. she just wanted friends.
