14: A Gracious Welcome

The group had set up their tent in the centre of the clearing they found themselves in. Genie had got them all to sit at the table and figure out what to do next.

Chione "Well it could be snakes."

Jane "Or...uh...I don't know any."

Courtney "Well its rather pointless speculating what kind of species live here, we should just go and find them."

Genie "Yes well that would be fine but Y/N doesn't have the best track record with the queens of the realm."

Y/N "So the answer is we do nothing?"

??? "How about you do us."

The group all looked to the entrance of the tent and two girls had walked in, their legs were covered by violet coloured feathers and they had talons where their feet should be. Their arms were absent aswell, instead there were wings with the same violet colour as their legs, the two girls had long red hair that covered what could only be their naked chests.

Courtney "Harpies!"

Courtney jumped up out of her chair and dashed over to the harpies, she picked up the both of them in her arms and brought them into a big hug before putting them down, she started groping the two bird women and touching their hair.

Courtney "I'll do you!"

Harpy 1 "Okay!"

Harpy 2 "What about the human?"

Courtney "Worry about him later. Oh um where is your village?"

Harpy 2 "Just a two minute walk in the direction your tent is facing."

Courtney "Okay thanks, you lot go I'll stay here and...guard the tent."

Courtney and the two harpies left the room and left the others dumbfounded.

Y/N "Okay lets just go."

Y/N waited with Jane as the others changed into more weather appropriate clothes. They took a good 20 minutes until they came back out from their rooms, Genie handed Y/N his bag with her lamp hooked on so Y/N assumed she didn't want to walk.

The 5 of them left the tent and walked straight into the forest towards the harpy village. The grass danced around his bare feet with every step, providing a relaxing and comfortable hike. The crisp clear air of the greenery gave a welcome feeling of being refreshed to help Y/N forget about the 'things' that had happened over the past couple of days. Jane was gasping at everything around her, the childlike wonder in her eyes just added to the beauty of the walk.

Jane "OH WOW! What's that?"

Y/N "Thorns. You cant touch that one this time, it will hurt."

Jane "Oh okay! This place is amazing, I've never seen so much green!"

Chione "Have you seen any?"

Jane "Nope!"

Yuri "I have to agree with Jane, as someone that hasn't ever left their region this all very fascinating."

Y/N looked at Yuri and sure enough, she had the same look in her eyes, she was just hiding it better than Jane who would scream every time she saw a measly little mushroom.

The group were coming upon a clearing in the treeline, they walked out of the forest and found themselves in a giant clearing that had a few scattered trees towards its centre, the trees towered above the rest of the forest. Y/N started to make out that there were circles on each of the trees, the circles were what seemed to be the floor of a tree house. Y/N could see it now, hundreds of houses up in the sky all at the point where the leaves start and the trunk ends, they were all connected by a network of bridges that drew a sort of spider web in the sky.
