Chapter 39

"Benny! How'd you get up there?" I yell, frantic.

He doesn't answer and starts sobbing.

Austin starts climbing the tree and once he gets to Benny, Benny climbs onto him and holds onto him tightly.

Austin starts climbing down slowly, making sure Benny doesn't fall.

Once there down to the ground I hug him tightly, "what were you thinking??" I say, shaking his shoulders.

"What's going on?" Ronnie asks, coming outside with a beer in his hand.

"You are a horrible parent! He was stuck in a tree and you didn't hear him screaming??" I yell at him.

"It's not my fault. You guys should have been watching him instead of making out in your room." He smirks, turning it on me.

"How is this my fault?? I would have watched him if someone informed me I was supposed to!" I yell at him.

"Whatever. Ben, we're leaving." Ronnie says, holding out his hand for Benny to take.

I stop Benny from walking and pick him up, "first off, his name is Benny. Second, he isn't going with you, he's staying here. Obviously I was wrong about the fact that you were gonna be a good parent." I growl at him.

"I'm about to win in court. You don't have a choice." Ronnie spits at me.

"Not for long! I'm telling court what happened today." I tell him.

"Oh really?" He growls, stepping forward.

Austin pushes him away from me, "don't even think about touching her." He growls.

He looks at us for a long time then walks away.

"Benny, your gonna live with someone else. Not Ronnie okay?" I ask him and he nods, looking down.

I hug him tightly then set him down and take his hand.

"What about kellin? Maybe katelynne would take him?" I ask Austin and he shrugs, "maybe. Want me to call him?" He asks.

"That'd be great." I tell him with a small smile.

He nods and pulls out his phone, walking away.

I lead Benny into the kitchen and grab a cookie for him.

He thanks me and starts eating it.

Austin comes back in, "Kellin is taking a plane to visit her in a few hours and he says he'll take Benny with him." He says and I smile, "do we need to drive him to the airport or anything?" I say.

The doorbell rings throughout the house and I say, "I guess not." And walk to the door and opening it.

"Hey shorty. How are you?" Kellin says.

"Hey Kels. I'm good, how are you?" I ask.

"I'm good.
Get to go see Katelynne and the kids so I'm excited." He smiles.

"Thank you so much for doing this. Ronnie just isn't the right person." I tell him and he smiles, "yeah I know. It's Ronnie Radke. What'd you think would happen?" He says with a smirk and I laugh a little.

Benny comes skipping in and hugs me from behind, "Benny your gonna go with Kellin, do you remember him?" I ask and he nods.

"Okay buddy. Uh we don't really have any of his things..." I tell Kellin and he shrugs, "I'm sure we have some of Liam's old clothes somewhere."

I smile and give him a hug.

"I don't wanna miss my flight so let's get going." Kellin says.

I pick Benny up and hug him tightly, kissing his cheek.

"You'll be safe here and they have other kids. I'll miss you buddy." I tell him.

"I miss you too Awwi." He says quietly.

I set him down and Kellin takes his hand.

I wave and close the door.

Austin comes up from behind me and wraps his arms around me from behind, "you okay?" He asks and I smile, "yeah." I tell him and turn around in his arms.

I kiss him softly then pull away, going into the living room.

I sit down on the couch and pull my legs up to my chest.

He sits down next to me and sighs, "three more days until we go back on tour." He says and I nod.

"Are you excited?" He asks and I shake my head.

"Why?" He asks, confused and I shrug.

"Alli, what's going on?" He asks and I sigh, "I just want to stay in one place. I don't wanna move around anymore." I tell him.

"I'm sorry baby... Maybe Vic will let you stay with someone?" He says and I shake my head, "I'll be fine."

"Are you sure?" he asks and I nod.

He puts his arm around me and pulls me to him.

"Your so strong. I love you for that." He says softly, kissing the side of my head.

"I love you too." I whisper, leaning into him.

"I forgot, we gotta go to the store. I drank all Vic's beer and he wants me to get him more." Austin says, standing up.

"Why do I have to come?" I complain.

"Because you love me and don't want me to go by myself." He says, taking my hand and pulling me off the couch.

I grab my shoes and get the keys for my car so me and Austin can feel cool in my Camaro.

I throw him the keys and he smiles.

We walk outside and he gets in the drivers seat.

He pulls out of the long driveway and starts driving totally the store.

We put all the windows down in the car and start blasting music.

We drive through a intersection and I here a loud screech then I see darkness.
