𝟭𝟱. 𝟬𝟬𝟳 {𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿}

Chloe woke up and frowned as she realised that she was asleep on the chair next to Izzie bed. She looked to see Bailey as she stood in the room as she looked to the group of residents that she had raised since they were interns

"somebody better make a coffee run. You all look like hell" bailey said as George pager beeped

"I gotta be in surgery in ten minutes. Um, mer, will you let me know?" He asked as Chloe sat up and yawned

"Yeah. We should go, too. it's probably gonna be a while" Meredith said to Chloe and Cristina who nodded

"Shepherd said she'd wake up in the morning. What did he tell you? was that all crap? What did he say?" Alex asked Meredith

"He said it may be a while" Meredith said

"She's gonna wake up" Cristina said as she placed a hand on his shoulder as she walked out of the room with Chloe

Chloe looked to Alex as he had a lot of izzies Hand and smiled. She could see how he was struggling with the thought of loosing Izzie. None of them wanted that

Chloe stood by the nurses station with Cristina and Meredith. Chloe stood watching mark and sighed, Chloe knew how awkward between the two of them since they talked over moving in together and she hated it, she loved mark and she knew that she wanted to try and move past it

"You know, something's going on with George" cristina said

"what?" Chloe asked

"Owen hugged him. they were happy" Cristina said

"Well, we don't hug when we're happy" Meredith said

"Are you better?" Cristina asked

"What? You know, with your therapy. uh, whatever. You said you got well. well, are you ... better? Or are you just, you know, fake better?" Cristina asked

"what do you mean?" Meredith asked

"I'm asking you if people, you know ... I mean, are you actually different? I mean, do you feel different?" Cristina asked

"I'm getting married today" Meredith said as Chloe looked to her

"wait what" Chloe said

"city hall. No muss, no fuss. just quick and dirty" Meredith said as the two of them looked to Meredith

"Well, uh ... do you want me to come?" Cristina asked

"No, no. just letting you know" Meredith said

"Oh, no, wait. uh, uh ... Okay, this is my grocery list. It's old. uh, this ... this is new. Um, this is my favorite pen, so I want it back. borrowed. And all of it's blue, so you're covered" Cristina said as Chloe chuckled

"Now see, if we were George and owen, We would hug right now" Meredith said as Chloe smiled

"I have nothing to give you but jealousy since me and mark aren't talking"

"well maybe talking to him can be my wedding present" Meredith said as Chloe looked to her and rolled her eyes

"yeah don't hold your breathe" Chloe said
