"Okay, okay, how about this?" Y/n asked Pax, who was watching her. Y/n cleared her throat making her voice deeper. "Excuse me. Where do I sign in? I see you have a sword. I have one, too. They're very manly and tough."

Y/n struggled as she tried to grab her sword she lost grip and it fell to the ground. Pax started to neigh like he was laughing and rolled around on teh ground. Y/n grabbed her boot and threw it at him, hitting him in the head.

"I'm working on it!" Y/n yelled with a sigh and pushed back the bamboo where the camp was in a clearing. "Who am I fooling? It's going to take a miracle to get me into the army."

"Did I hear someone ask for a miracle?!" A voice yelled, Y/n gasped and turned to see a dragon's ghost with fire blazing around it. "Let me hear you say "Aye"!"

"AAAAH!!!" Y/n screamed.

"That's close enough."

"A-a g-ghost." Y/n stammered as she hid behind a rock, Pax hiding behind her.

"Get ready, Y/n. Your serpentine salvation is at hand! For I have been sent by ancestors to guide you through your masquerade." The ghost yelled before disappearing and coming back up. "So heed my word! 'Cause if the army finds out you're a girl, the penalty is death!"

"Who are you?" Y/n asked.

"Who am I? Who am I?! I am the guardian of lost souls. I am the powerful, the pleasurable, the indestructible Nishinoya." The ghost came around the rock, to see the smallest lizard she has seen. "Pretty hot, huh?"

Pax quickly ran over and stomped him to the ground, Y/n grabbed his head and pulled him back to see a smushed Nishinoya.

"Uh, my ancestors sent a little lizard to help me?"

"Hey, dragon, dragon, not lizard," Noya said and stuck his tongue out with a hiss. "I don't so that tongue thing."

"You're..."

"Intimidating? Awe-inspiring?"

"Tiny," Y/n said as he climbed a bamboo where he's at her height.

"Of course. I'm travel size for your convenience. If I was my real size, your cow here would die of fright." Noya said patted Pax's nose, who snapped his teeth at him. "Down, Bessie. My powers are beyond your mortal imagination. For instance, my eyes can see straight through your armor."

Y/n looked down at her chest and quickly slapped him across the face.

"Ow! All right, that's it! Dishonor! Dishonor on your whole family. Dishonor on you, dishonor on your cow-"

"Stop! I'm sorry. I'm sorry." Y/n apologized and covered Noya's mouth. "I'm just nervous. I've never done this before."

"Then you're gonna have to trust me. And don't you slap me no more? We clear on that?" Noya asked, Y/n quickly nodded her head. "All right, okey-dokey. Let's get this show on the road! Let's move it, Heifer."

Pax snorted as he walked past him, Y/n softly shook her head before following the dragon, the small cricket catching a ride on her back.

Men chatter amongst themselves, some working while the others relaxed after the journey there. Y/n glanced in at the entrance and her nerves spiked as Noya climbed on her back and hid in her armor.

"Okay, this is it. Time to show 'em your man walk. Shoulders back, chest high, feet apart, head up and strut." Noya instructed, Y/n copied what he said and was in a very weird position but walked into the camp. "And work it!"

The men watched as the new figure walked by, her arms swinging around and her knees together as she marched, Y/n paused when she walked past a tent to see men picking their noses and getting the toe jam out of their feet.
