Chapter 4 - Such stimulating ideas
What exactly was I doing right now? How did shy, dorky Jilly Quentin suddenly become determined for answers to such bizarre questions? These thoughts were scurrying through my mind as we went to leave my house.
I paused when Ty clasped my hand in his. It started crazy warmth and electricity thrumming through my body. I dared a glance at Ty who seemed both nervous and thrilled equally.
"Jillybean." He said softly as he squeezed my fingers in his.
I closed my eyes at how much I was starting to like him calling me that silly nickname. It had taken him two days to become lodged under my skin again. I was feeling worried that I may never be able to cope without him now.
I said nothing. I forced my eyes open and continued walking as though nothing within me had changed. He scurried after me, not willing to relinquish my hand.
I realised that it was becoming a much too common occurrence to be standing at his front door. Could his insane story of his actually be true? I knew the proof was right there for me to see. When I looked at the simple fact that I could understand his strange language though, I started to freak myself out a little bit.
I focused on the fact that he had explained himself instead of my involvement. Everything he told me seemed to logically fit. Sure I had questions, tons of them in fact. They were being overruled by this almost desperate need to know what it felt like to have him take my life force. That thought was a little disturbing when I looked at it too closely so I quickly shoved it away.
"We don't have to do this if you have any doubts Jilly." Ty reassured me and I let out a nervous breath.
"I need something tangible Ty. You telling me all this stuff...it's good and all but bizarre. I need to see some truth." I told him, making him sigh.
"I do understand. Come and let me show you the awful truth. Terrilian." He switched from speaking English to his language so quickly that it was mind boggling as he said Terri's name.
"Zytar, whatever is the matter?" Terri entered the foyer where we stood. She stopped, gaped at me and then dropped into that odd bow thing that baffled me. "Saviour." Her voice became filled with awe.
"Now it's not the time Terrilian." Ty's voice went stern, which only made Terri appear completely baffled.
"Then what is it time for?" Terri asked tentatively and I watched the siblings look at me and then away.
"Jilly wishes proof." Ty said firmly. Terri went from calm to utterly panicked and worried instantly.
"No Zytar, I can't allow it! She is your Mamishxan, you cannot do this." Terri's words came out on a rush but filled with determination.
"I would never take unless there was no other answer. She asked me too to prove that I'm telling her the truth." Ty's words were ice cold and Terri winced.
