Three weeks later,
Classes had begun again, they were all at Natasha and Wanda's house one Saturday night for a party. They were all playing truth or dare in the kitchen and doing Patron tequila shots.
"Okay okay Barnes I got one for you." Sam said
"Dare." Bucky said as he slurred a little.
"I dare you to make out with Maci." Sam said
Bucky did another shot, he sat Maci up on the counter. He leaned down and kissed her lips as she felt butterflies in her stomach. She followed his lead, as the kiss continued Bucky rolled his tongue into her mouth.
"Can't Fight This Feeling" by REO Speedwagon was playing. Bucky broke the kiss and rested his forehead against hers.
"You..have amazing lips and now you can mark that off." He said
"Barnes!" Yelena yelled
"Yes.." he said as he did another shot.
"I dare all the football players!" Yelena yelled
They all looked at her, "To Streak and jump in the pool naked. Actually lets make it the football players and the cheerleaders." Yelena yelled
Everyone went running, Maci walked slowly behind. She saw them all jump in the pool and Bucmy flirting around. She looked down, and started to walk home.
Wanda caught up to her, "Hey where you going?" She said
"Home." She said as tears welled.
"Maci you are in love with him aren't you?" Wanda said
Maci blinked away her tears, "Have fun Wanda." She said and walked away.
When she got home, she wadded up her bucket list and went to bed. Bucky found his clothes
"Hey Wanda, seen Maci?" He said
"She went home, Buck I don't know what you are trying to do to her.." she said but he cut her off.
"Im not trying to do anything her." He said
"Buck, she was crying so whatever it is fix it." She said
"Crying.." he said
She shook her head yes. He walked home and found her in her room. He picked up her crumpled list and laid it on her desk. Even in the purple lights he could see her tear stains and mascara smears.
"Maci." He whispered as he stripped down to his boxers and got in bed with her.
The next morning, she woke up to find him.
"What are you doing in my bed?" She said
He woke up, "Why were you crying?" He said
She looked down, "It doesn't matter." She said
"Don't do that Maci. Don't lie to me or brush it off just tell me the damn truth." He said
She wiped tears, he sat up to her and held her cheek. "Maci, I feel it too I felt it last night when we kissed. I thought it was the alcohol, but it isn't. Its the same feeling I have had all summer long." He said
She sniffled, "Im not stupid Maci, I know I hurt you when I slept with London. I know that is why Wanda was rude to her. Why you couldn't look at me for awhile. But you scare me Maci Wanda never made me feel the way you make me feel. And it scares the hell out of me." He said
She swallowed hard.
"So next weekend, I am going to take you on a proper date and give you a real kiss. Is that okay?" He said
She shook her head yes, and they hugged.
