Somewhere far away, Ming was busy in the kitchen when he heard his little cub cry. Looks like he woke up from his afternoon nap. Ming dashed to the cradle where his 1-year old Thorn was wriggling and crying. Look at those big doe eyes filled with tears. Ming carried him and cooed to calm him down. He know what this monster is looking for, so Ming placed him near his chest while rubbing his back. Ming untied his shirt and on the cue, this bewb monster latched on his mae's bewbs.
Ming smiled seeing his antics. God knows why Thorn is so obsessed with his mae's bewbs. He loves to suckle on them even when he is not hungry. He will show his glare eyes whenever Ming tries to save his poor chest as if committing the worst crime in the world. Thorn got his dad's features, especially that sharp glare. Ming hisses when his cub tried to bite him. Of course, it's time for another one, so Ming switched him to the other side while caressing his head.
Ming gets lost in his thoughts while baby Thorn is feasting on him. He remembers how great was that day in the doctor's office when the doctor informed him and Forth about being 5 months pregnant with a healthy baby. Their excitement was increasing as the days passed. How much they both planned for their little one, but who knew that Ming's life was about to change.
2 days later, Ming's mom went to their house in the morning to spend time with him while Forth and Ming's dad were busy with their boring office work. Ming had begged his mom to take him on a drive. Forth didn't let him go anywhere alone as if he was incapable of taking care of himself. He understands he was pregnant, but he could drive carefully too. But, who could argue with that possessive husband of his? Ming's mom even got Forth's permission first before taking him out. Well, they already traded him with Forth since they met him.
They both went to various places and enjoyed their time, but Ming didn't know that he was being watched all this while. They both were on their way back when mom noticed that they were being chased by some bikers and cars. She drove fast, but there was at least 1 bike approaching them from every side. Ming had no idea when his mom took the road towards the hill. The way they were always able to find them made it clear that they were being tracked.
After some time, they were able to distract them. Mom parked the car near a crowded area while she hurriedly took Ming off it. They both hid somewhere around a bunch of people, where none could find them easily. Soon, mom noticed one of the men and recognized him as 1 of grandpa's old workers and informed Ming. It wasn't tough for them to understand that grandpa had sent them, but Ming was more shocked to believe that grandpa could go to this point.
Mom couldn't even call anyone as their phones suddenly stopped working despite the good network. Grandpa was behind it definitely, so that they could find them before they could get someone's help. Mom tried calling the family after borrowing a phone from someone but was shocked to see it getting dejected even before connecting. It confirmed that even their friends and family were being monitored too.
Neither they could return home nor call for help. Ming felt so helpless and scared that he could feel the baby getting restless. After 1 hour of hiding, when mom made sure that no one was around they decided to take a cab and go somewhere safe. They threw their phones and left the place. Ming was trying hard to be fast, but his condition wasn't helping. They reached near the city area when a group of men appeared out of nowhere and cornered them.
They were approaching them with a knife and rods while Ming protectively covered his belly with his arms. In the blink of an eye, his mom started fighting with them. She was able to take down 2 while Ming also tried to help her. They used their tools on them but still couldn't meet their strength. Mom pleaded with Ming to run away while she distract them, which he declined every time. How could he leave her alone? He was busy fighting and didn't notice the one approaching from the other side. Thanks to mom, she hit him before he hurt Ming. She pushed him away and begged him to run fast for the sake of his baby.
Ming wasn't left with any choice. He wasn't strong enough for fighting too long and couldn't put the baby in more danger. He had to run. They wouldn't stop until Ming was there as he was the main target. When mom was able to distract them he snooked from the place and started running for his life. Still, he could sense 2 people chasing him from afar. He was in the middle of the city running wild.
Even when Ming hid for a while and changed his direction, they were able to find him. Thanks to the carnival on the other side of the city that helped him get off their eyes. He was sweating and panting heavily while the pain in his belly was increasing. He had no energy left. He knew he would not survive for much time at this rate. Somehow, he made his way to a small temple near the end of the city. He entered there while looking for a place to hide when he bumped into a priest.
The priest's eyes widen seeing Ming's condition, especially the swollen belly, but Ming was drained to a point that he couldn't even tell him anything in detail. He begged him to save his life, so the priest took him to a small room behind the temple. He asked him to stay there while Ming just lost all his strength and dropped on the floor sobbing hard.
The priest brought him some food and water and pleaded for him to eat while he was just letting his emotions out. After a while, he calmed and had some food and water. He was still terrified when the priest left for the temple. Later in the evening, he came back to the room with some more food. Ming was crying and thanking him repeatedly while he gently patted his head.
The priest asked Ming about the whole situation, so he explained everything. Much to Ming's shock, the priest was not freaked out and was calm. He even patted Ming for being brave to handle the situation. He suggested Ming stay there until he makes sure that it is safe to go out to which Ming nodded. Ming's mind was not stable while fear was eating him alive thinking about his mom. He was praying for his mom to be safe and P'Forth finds him before anyone else.
Ming stayed hidden for 2 days in that small room. Thanks to the priest, who gave him some clothes and food. There was no news about anything from outside. Ming's fear was increasing thinking about it while the priest ensured that he would find a way out for him. Ming felt helpless. There was nothing he could do except wait till everything settles.
