CHAPTER Seven:

Okay I admit one thing, I might be having second thoughts to being adopted.

One thing is for sure living with rock stars is hard, practice every night, and wanting to go down there and strangle the singer, guitarists, and drummer, can I say I might actually do it?

Micah loves it though, me? I might ask if I can buy a tent and sleep in it, even though I am dating one of the band, I might murder them.

Me and Nicky have been out the last three nights, and he has been a gentleman.

And they get to do a video for 'Never Gonna Quit' which has now been declared number one on the radio, I am proud of them.

Tam and me have been in a prank war for one day now.

And he is totally winning, I got him once.

I woke up this morning, and screamed my head off, I flew out my door, and could hear laughter down the hall, I ran down the steps, and went and hid behind Vin.

"What the f-" he started, then saw Tam with his pet snake.

"Tamin Jeremiah Gerlap, put that thing away this instant!" Christine said, jumping up on the chair.

He laughed "Come on, Tansy wouldn't hurt a fly? Would you?" he started talking to it.

I smirked "Your middle name is Jeremiah."

"Yes ma'am, what's yours Melody Marie?" he asked, I bit my lip, he smiled then bust out laughing.

"Put that thing up" Vinney said, Tam smirked, and went back upstairs.

Nicky came down "What is all that screaming" he asked, I pointed at Tam.

He laughed "I had a pet tarantula but it died."

I shivered "Glad its dead."

"Me too" Christine said, getting down.

"Breakfast is ready" she said, I started to go to the table, Nicky dragged me back.

"No thanks, I am taking Melly out this morning, and Micah" he said "GO get ready."

I went upstairs and put on my usual jeans and shirt, and came back down, grabbed Micah's hand and went out the door.

"I love to swim" Micah told Nicky, and I smiled "Melody's old friends used to go to a lake and we would swim."

One thing I liked about Nicky, he listens to Micah, and to me that means a lot.

We were at a park, Nicky played with Micah, and it was funny because Nicky got tripped by a eight year old.

Now we were eating and Micah was talking his head off, which I am not surprised about, Micah apparently is starting to think of them as I don't know, a role model? Maybe?

Gosh I hope not, some of the stuff Christine has told me, I hope they don't give Micah any ideas when he is in his teens.

I sat on the picnic table and watched Micah, for a six year old he looks taller, and he is smarter then most, I just hope he don't never change from this sweet little kid, I couldn't see him acting like me, hanging with the bad crowd.

He saw me watching him and waved from the slide, I smiled, it was the perfect day in July.

Unfortunately this is also a walking park, so teens and older people were also here... so that meant other girls were looking at Nicky and I was getting mad.

And I think Nicky knows it too.

He kissed the top of my head, and girls went the other way.

Micah found a little friend to play with, I smiled.

"The more he is around me, the more he is going to be a lady's man" Nicky said, I smiled.

"Oh really? Then I guess you don't need me huh?" I said, and started to get up, he pulled me back, and into his lap.

"I didn't say that" he said, I smiled, he kissed me and we heard "Ew!'' Nicky looked at Micah "Get on, we aren't bothering you."

Micah laughed, and ran to play with his new friend.

I sighed "We better go" I said, he pouted and pulled me back, I smacked his shoulder "Later."

He took my hand, went to get Micah and go home.

"Please tell me that when I got to take a bath there will be no snake or anything in the shower?" I asked Tam, he smiled.

"Nope just shampoo and soap."

I went upstairs and was surprised there wasn't any reptiles or rodents anywhere.

After I was done I went and sat on my bed I turned the TV on, and decided I wanted a snack.

I froze on the steps as I heard them talking "No, sir, we just want to adopt them because we want to" Vin told a guy in a suit.

"But why? The Seventeen year old is too old to be adopted, surely you have thought about that."

"We know, but we love her like a daughter" Christine said, she was frowning.

"You can keep the boy, but the girl we will have to see where that goes" the man said, I silently went back to my room, and started thinking.

I am causing them trouble about adopting me, I can't let them get in trouble.

After making up my mind I decided I was going to run away and let them have Micah.

I wrote them a note, and I snuck out the window.

Nicky headed up the stairs to get Melody so they all could watch a movie together, and knocked.

No answer, he tried again, and shoved the door open, she wasn't there.

He checked the bathroom and everywhere upstairs she was gone.

There was a note on her bed, he picked it up.

' Vinney and Christine,

I'm sorry for giving you so much trouble to try to adopt me, you can keep Micah, just don't try to look for me, thank you all for how you have treated me, you all have been very kind.

'And Nicky we will meet again someday, live your life you don't need me, and I will always love you.

I found some woods on the outskirts of Cali, and decided to camp there tonight, it will be getting dark soon, I found a sturdy tree and climbed.

They will be heart broken but they will get over me, know it.

I felt my phone going off in my pocket, and saw it was Nicky, I hit the ignore button, and laid on the tree.

Maybe he will quit calling soon.
