Nicky laid out on the couch, and Vin tried calling Marc and Tam again "Come on!" he sighed "They still aren't picking up."

Nicky shrugged.

"This is unusual, what if they are hurt?" A worried Christine asked, Vin shook his head "They can't be they are grown, they know how to fight."

"What if they found her?" Christine asked, Nicky shot up from the couch, and started pacing "If they have they will tell us, if not maybe they got hung up doing something."

"I doubt it, don't get your hopes up, them two aren't the brightest in the bunch" Vin said, Nicky looked at him.

"What if something bad happened?" Christine asked.

Vin laughed "They find trouble, it don't come to them."

His head shot up "Maybe...we ought to go look for them."

Nicky nodded "I'll go get my jacket."

"What happened to you?" I asked looking at Marc and Tam.

"More like what happened to you! You were gone for four days, now I owe Marc Twenty dollars."

"I was in the woods, and someone covered my face with a rag, then lights out for me, then I wake up and Nate is there, Marc, Tam help me out of here!" I said, Marc smiled.

"Tam do you remember how you used to break into the school?" he asked.

Tamin nodded "All I need is something to use."

I took my hair down, and handed him my bobby pin "You can use it, but I want it back though, it was my mothers."

They nodded, and they went to do something.

Next thing I knew I had two visitors to stay.

Tam and Marc were thrown in here, I sighed "You two are never going to be knights in shinning armor."

Tam smiled, and Marc smacked his head "Told you we should have waited! Dum-" I gave him a look "-butt."

I laid down on the bed, and sighed "Welcome to my cell for five days now."

"Finally!" Vin shouted, Nicky looked at him "What?"

"I tracked Melly's cell I found it!" he said, they huddled around the phone, it was a cold night.

"The old Murphy house?" Nicky asked, they looked at each other "What are they doing there?"

They ran down the street and to the old house.

I woke up during the night, and saw Marc looking out the window "Hey" I said, his head snapped towards me "Can't sleep?"

He nodded "Melody, why did you run away?" he asked, I shrugged.

"I heard Vin and Christine talking to that guy about me and Micah, I decided they shouldn't go through the trouble of adopting me."

He shook his head "Don't take this the wrong way but you're a idiot, Vin would die for you now that your in his life, almost his daughter, Christine thinks of you that way, Nicky loves you and Tamin and me think of you as a sister, don't never think anything like that again."

I hugged Marc "I won't, and Marc?" I asked, "What?"

"You smell bad."

"You don't smell like roses yourself" he mumbled, we laughed.

"Right here" Vin said, they looked up at the old place, and looked at each other "Lets do this."

No one was home, or so it looked like it, Nicky picked the lock, and they were in, they looked in this room and that, nothing.

"Nothing, lets go."

"Wait, Nicky we didn't try the attic."

Nicky sighed "With this rate we will never find them, we will be stuck here till we're sixty!" he yelled, and something fell on him.

"Wakey wakey" Marc thumped Tamin on the head, and he woke up with a 'huh?'

"Its still dark out, they are gone, we have to try something to escape" I explained, he nodded "Me and Marc have a plan, the heaviest one gets to jump on the attic door so it can fall and we will be free..." I paused.

"And we chose you" Marc finish.

"Why me?" Tam asked.

"One) You are five eleven in height, two) Your stronger, and three) You are not afraid of anything, and you will do anything" I said, Marc nodded "True."

Tam sighed, and went to the attic door, and started jumping on it.

Ten times later he fell.

And landed on someone, me and Marc looked at each other, then looked over the edge, as always, being the clumsy person I am, I fell.

And was caught by...Vin?

"Vin!" I yelled, as I hugged him, he put his arms around me and squeezed.

We stood like that for a minute, then he pulled back, and noticed my cheek "What happened? Did they cut you?" he asked, I shook my head "That's what Marc and Tam thought too, I will explain later right now we need to get out of here."

They helped Nicky up, who got me in a bear hug, then we were on our way out, but someone stopped us, I hid behind Vin and Nicky.

"What are you doing-" Nate started before, all four flew at him, I just stood where I was.

When they were done I was surprised at how much they hurt him, Vinney took my hand "That's for hurting my daughter."

I laughed, and we headed home.
