Chapter Ten

CHAPTER Ten:

I woke up and sighed, back in my bed, back in the house, and Vin and Christine are going to sign the adoption papers today.

I got dressed and went downstairs to eat breakfast, Christine smiled "I've missed you, so much" she said, and hugged me, I hugged her back.

"I missed you too...mom."

She pulled back "What did you call me?" she asked, I smiled, and she laughed.

Vin threw something at me, and I caught it.

"Happy birthday" he said, I opened it up to reveal their CD I laughed "Love the cover."

It had them on it with 'Lightning Strike' on the cover, they looked pretty awesome I admit.

"It's not even my birthday today."

"Its early since we got to go early in the morning to make a video."

I smiled, and walked into the living room to become drenched in water, I squeaked.

"Happy Birthday prank!" Tamin yelled, and jumped off the stairs, he landed in front of me, I laughed and hugged him.

"I will get you" I said, he smiled.

"No one can catch me."

I laughed, and arms came around me "Happy birthday" Nicky said, I turned around, and he dug something out of his pocket.

He gave it to me and I opened it.

Inside was a necklace a silver heart attached to it, on it said 'N+L' I hugged him.

"You like it?" he asked I nodded "It is the most beautiful thing anyone has ever given me" I said "Help me put it on."

He fastened it around my neck and I put my arms around him, he leaned down and kissed me I heard "Ew" from a six year old boy voice.

I smiled, and looked down at my brother, who smiled up at me "Happy Birthday, sissy."

I kissed the top of his head, and Marc came in carrying something "This is from me and Micah" he said, laying it down on the couch, I walked over and opened the lid to the long box, to reveal a black leather guitar case.

I smiled, and opened it, inside was a electric guitar, it was black with pink and purple flames on it, I squealed, and kissed Marc's cheek, I hugged him.

"Best Birthday gift ever!" I yelled, he hugged me back, I heard Nicky make a sound, I went over and kissed his cheek "Other then yours, it is beautiful, but I always wanted a guitar."

"Knew I should've gotten you the guitar."

I smiled "It's okay, a guitar I can't take everywhere, a necklace I can."

I hugged Micah, and went upstairs Tam came out of his room "If I were you I wouldn't take a shower" he said, I looked back "Why?"

"You might get a surprise, and I didn't do it for once."

"Who did?" I asked, he walked on "Curse you Tam!" I yelled at him, I heard his laugh echo the hall.

I smiled, and walked into my room, I dropped my phone on the carpet.

I walked to my bed and touched the big teddy bear, I touched the rose petals on my bed, and the flowers, my room was full of red roses and teddy bears.

I picked up the card attached to the teddy bears paw, and I laughed.

'To my heart and soul Melody, forever and to now, I will always be there for you and I will always love you. -Your Nicky'

I sighed and smiled "He is too good to be true."

"Really? 'Cause I think I am" a voice said, I turned around to see Nicky, smiling that smile of his.

"Of course, how many girlfriends have you had that could say that?" I asked "One."

He laughed "You want a list?" I nodded "Fine, I can make one, what about you?"

I looked around "I can, in one hour" I said, he nodded "Okay" he said, and went out.

I banged my head against the wall, I am a idiot.

I threw the piece of paper at Tam "Dork" I said, he laughed, I smiled, and re-wrote because of him.

"Who is Darren Kane?" Marc asked reading over my should, I huffed "I'm going to my room!" I yelled, I was stuck here with Nicky, Tam, and Marc, Vin, Christine and Micah were gone to sign papers for our adoption, and they were taking Micah shopping.

I sat at my desk and stared at the pictures in my room, I looked at the Ozzy one, then me and Micah, then everything else, I sighed.

Ten minutes later I had names made up and everything, when Nicky barged into my room.

"Ready?" he asked, I nodded "You go first."

He handed me his and it was at least a hundred pages, bleep.

I read the first Melody, he started taking pages away, Melody, Melody, Melody, Melody, Melody and Melody.

He smiled "You're my only love, well I have dated...but, that is in the past."

I smiled "Awe."

"Now lets see yours" he said, and my smile dropped, "Uh, its not important."

He grabbed it, and he held it up high so I couldn't get it, he started laughing, I can't reach it.

He started laughing "Nicky!" I yelled.

"Seriously 'Harry Birdie?" he started laughing, I grabbed the list and threw it in my garbage can, I landed on my bed and sighed.

He sat and put his arms around me, I sighed, and put my head on his shoulder "What do you think will happen, I mean Nate is probably still out there."

"He won't be back with the hurt we put on him, I am pretty sure he wont move for a month or two."

Marc came into my room, and sbitched my TV on "Hey!" I yelled, then looked at the TV.

IT was Nate on the news...getting into a police car?

"Turn it up" I said.

"Nate Hayser was arrested for drunk driving, breaking and entering, stealing, and kidnapping today..." I zoned it all out until...

"Is that Vin?" I asked.

"You had Nate arrested?" I asked Vin when they came home, he smiled.

"Yep" he said, I sighed "Brilliant but, stupid."

He nodded, I sat on the couch, he smiled "You are officially my daughter now" he said.

I sighed "Great, now we can get into trouble together."

He laughed "Our video shoot is tomorrow want us to add anything?" he asked, I smiled.

"Flames" I said, he smiled "That's it?"

"Yep."

"You don't want to add anything?" he asked, I shook my head.

"Okay."

He started walking away I yelled "Hey" he turned "Add motorcycles if you can."

He laughed, and walked upstairs.
