Aftermath

A few days later Judy was allowed to leave the hospital, much to Jen's dismay, Jen got Judy into the car and started to drive her home. Their home.
Judy was happily humming in the car. Jen would be lying if she said that her humming was annoying her but it weirdly made her feel comfortable.

Getting Judy out of the car was a struggle as she had to get into the wheelchair as she wouldn't be able to use crutches until her arm were healed. Once they were both inside Jen insisted on having Judy rest on the sofa so that Jen could easily tend to her needs. Judy tried to argue but Jen didn't allow it.
Once settled on the sofa Judy relaxed "oh it feels good to be out of that bed, not that I'm not grateful for their hospitality of course they did a great job bu-"
"Judy you don't need to explain to me" Jen hands her a cup of herbal tea and kissed the brunettes head.
"Thank you" she replied. Jen smiled and got a blanket and put it over Judy before sitting next to her.

The rest of the night was spent eating take out and Judy falling asleep on Jen's shoulder but waking up and shrugging it off as nothing. Once Jen sent the boys to bed she decided that she had to do the same to herself and Judy.

"Judy you're clearly tired let's just get you upstairs and into bed alright?" She says to a half asleep Judy who nods and tries to stand up.
"Judes what the fuck are you doing?!" She says and quickly stand up to aid her. She picks the brunette up and the two slowly make their way up the stairs.

After a few minutes Jen finally made it to their bedroom and lays Judy on the bed and puts the covers over her. She moves Judy's fringe to the side and kissed her head. She got changed and heard the soft snores of her loved on. She chuckled quietly and got into the bed next to Judy.

The next morning Jen woke up to her alarm. She sighed and turned it off. She rolled over to see Judy still fast asleep. She smiled and kissed her cheek before getting out of bed and showering. She got into some clean comfortable clothes and went to Henry's room and knocked on the door.
"Morning Boop, time to get up" she smiles at him and opens his drapes.
"Morning mommy" he yawned. Jen kissed his head and then she walked out and knocked on Charlie's door
"Char get up for school!" She says loudly and knocks once more before going downstairs to start making their breakfast. She put the bowls of cereal on the counter and then called Lorna to say that she can't come in today because she has to look after Judy but she can do her work on her laptop. Lorna was fine with it as long as it didn't happen every day which Jen wasn't happy about but she didn't want to fight her this morning.

Charlie and Henry came down and had their breakfast. After Henry finished he looked through the fridge and Charlie said goodbye to Jen.
"Mom? Can I stay over at Parkers tonight?"
Jen, assuming that Parker was a guy agreed "yeah sure just tell me what's happening" she says and tidies up.
Jen hears the blender and turns around frowning. Once the belted was turned off Jen asked "Hen? What are you doing?" She asked and walked over to see what was on the side.
"I'm making Judy a breakfast smoothie to feel better" he smiled and Jen nodded whilst she sized up if what he made was actually edible by the mix of ingredients of ice cream, cereal, fruits, orange juice, oat bars and some veg. Jen raised her eyebrows and started to put the "ingredients" away as Henry poured the liquid in a glass. Henry started walking up the stairs so Jen quickly followed. She opened the bedroom door and Henry walked over to Judy and whispered her name. Jen walked over and stroked Judy's head.

Judy stirred and opened her eyes slowly and saw two of her favourite people and smiled widely. "Hey" she whispered and Jen smiled watching her wake up.
"Good morning Judy, I made you a breakfast smoothie" he smiled and handed to it. Judy carefully took it but her hand was shaking. Before it got worse Jen took it for her and put it on the side.
"Hen why don't you got and get your bag and shoes ready?" She smiles at him
"Sure, have a good day Judy!" He smiled
"You too bud" Judy replied as he walked off. She turned and tried to pick up the smoothie
"Oh no" Jen took it away from her "trust me you don't want this. It's the thought" she said and Judy shrugged "it is the thought" she agreed.
Jen sat down on the bed carefully. "How did you sleep?" She asked and Judy nodded "better than in the hospital" she said and Jen smiled "that's good"
Henry came in with his bag "I'm ready" he smiled and Jen stood up. "Alright I'll be out by the car in a sec" she said and stood up.
"Judy honey if you need anything and I mean anything you call me ok? Even if it's just a tissue or you want to turn over okay?" She said and got the the remote for Judy and out it on her lap. "Sleep if you can but if you need anything call me straight away" she said and kissed Judy's head.
"Thank you" Judy smiled at her and looked at her lovingly, Judy loved seeing Jen in 'mom' action but this felt so much more personal and gentle. She watched as Jen walked out the room and she heard the door shut.

Jen got in the car with Henry and listened to him talk about school and Holy Harmonies
"Oh boop I forgot Christopher is gonna pick you up tonight and take you to holy harmonies tonight so I can stay home with Judy. is that ok?" She asked looking into the rear-view mirror and Henry nodded "yeah sure" he said and Jen pulled up to the school. "Have a good day babe" she said as he got out the car .

Jen drove back home and parked her car on her drive. She got in the house and went straight upstairs. Jen heard the tv on and entered quietly. "Judes?" She asked and looked over at Judy who was fast asleep. Jen smiled and got rid of the smoothie replacing it with a glass of water and her next set of pills she will have to take when she wakes up.

Jen gets her laptop and starts to do her work. She doesn't realise but an hour later and Judy had woken up. Judy turned over slowly and this caught Jen's attention.
She looked over with her glasses in and smiled. She helped Judy get comfortable "hey" she said softly and then reached over for the water and pills "you should take these" she said and helped Judy drink the water. "There we go" she said and out the glass back on the side.

"Thank you" replied Judy and she looked at the laptop. "You're working?" She asked and Jen nodded "yup, Lorna wants me to do some stuff and reply to clients as I'm not in" she replied.
"You ok?" She asked Judy who smiled and looked back to the tv. Jen stroked Judy's hair behind her ear and smiled at her as Judy watched tv. Jen soon finished and watched tv with Judy for the rest of the day until she had to go and pick Henry up from school.
