I won't let you go

Leaving?

Jen's POV:
I just got the money from Steve. I went and brought Charlie the laptop he wanted. I wrapped it up in the car and listened to my metal music. I drive home and got out the car. I walked inside and shut the door.
"Hey Everyone! Mommy's got presents!" I shout. "Mommy should probably stop calling herself mommy, but mommy like it." I muted to myself. I walk through to the kitchen and put my bag on the kitchen island.
"Hello." I head and turn around and see Lorna.
"Oh, hey Lorna." I say nicely to her. "So you got my message? He brought two. All cash. Paperwork's being prepared. He's wiring the deposit tomorrow... so you're welcome." I say to her and she smiles lightly.
"That's not what... Charlie called me." She says and as she does Charlie comes in with a rucksack on his back.
"Okay, if this is about the laptop, mommy took care of it." I say and take a step closer to him.
"Jennifer, I want you to know this is not my doing." Lorna says and my eyebrows knit together.
"What's not your doing?" I ask confused. Charlie moved so he was in clearer view for me to look at him.
"I'm moving out, I'm gonna live with grandma." He says and I raise my eyebrows.
"What?" I ask him
"He wants to live with me." Lorna says.
"I heard him." I say to her then look back at Charlie. "Char, I know we had a little fight about the laptop this morning, but, come on, a laptop-"
"It's not just about the laptop." He interrupts me and Lorna walks out of the way. I take a few steps closer to him.
"Look Charlie, I know that things have been hard since your dad died, but I promise you, they are gonna get so much better." I say softly to him.
"I can't live with you anymore." He says and I frown.
"Why? What did I do?" I ask him.
"You know what you did... the night dad died."
*Flashback.*
I had tears falling down my face and Ted walked out and slammed the door. I pushed over the coat rack. "Good, fucking go!" I shout. "I don't want to see your fucking face again!" I shout.
*end of flashback.*
God he saw that! I think to myself then look at him. He can't just leave me.
"We had a fight, Charlie people do that in a marriage." I say to him and take another step closer.
"He didn't want to live with you anymore." He pauses and looks at me. "And neither do I." He slowly walks away. I hear the front door shut. My eyes teared up and Lorna came a little closer to me.
"... sorry. Did you say all cash!" She asks causing me to roll my eyes a little. She takes the hint and walks out. I sigh and start to sob when the door closes.

The next chapter is where it starts to get interesting!
