Saitama, Japan

He was called by many names. Daitan Futekina, Mibōjin Mēkā, Idaina Shiroi Hebi, Mottomo Surudoi Kenshi (The Fearless, The Widowmaker, The Great White Snake, Sharpest Swordmaster). But to the woman he loved, he was known as her romantico senza speranza. (Hopeless romantic). He removed the dried leaves that had been fluttering on his wife's tombstone and carefully sat crossed legs in front of it. Pulling out his guitar that he took out from his mansion, a guitar that his late wife had given him on his 30th birthday. He took a deep breath and start playing:

And I'd give up forever to touch you

'Cause I know that you feel me somehow

You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be

And I don't want to go home right now

And all I can taste is this moment

And all I can breathe is your life

And sooner or later, it's over

I just don't wanna miss you tonight

And I don't want the world to see me

'Cause I don't think that they'd understand

When everything's made to be broken

I just want you to know who I am

He finished their favorite song which they both had chosen for their first dance on their wedding day and smiled sadly at the writing written on her grave. The wind blows softly, making more cherry blossoms fall slowly on the ground, some fell on him and a few had landed on her tombstone. They were married under this exact tree and had promised to be buried here if they died, but never had he imagined it was going to be her who would leave him first.

"Happībāsudē watashi no ai," whispered Ben, his heart aching, he had missed her so much that he had refused in dating another woman, hoping that he will see her again when his time is up. (Happy birthday, my love)

He starts talking to her knowing that she would hear him even though she couldn't respond, telling her everything and their latest plan that their daughter and the allies were going to execute. Although some parts of his heart were worried about the safety of his daughter, she had insisted on carrying out the plan with the others, but it was the only plan that they thought would work since it was going to take place in the most dangerous office in the whole wide world.

"Anata wa kanojo o mimamorimasu yo ne?," asked Ben, still hoping for an answer coming from her. (You'll watch over her, right?)

The wind blew again and more and more cherry blossoms fell on the ground. Taking it as a sign from his wife, he smiled to himself and turned around as he heard footsteps walking towards him. Eighteen-year-old Jericho with his own katana slung at his back, sweating as he walked quickly towards his father.

"Otōsan, anata no denwa wa doko ni arimasu ka? Jēn wa anata ni denwa o kakeyou to shite ite, kanojo wa bikkuri shite imasu," Jericho panted like he was running for a marathon. (Dad, where is your phone? Jane's trying to call you and she's freaking out)

His phone was in his hands and he had his Airpod on. He quickly handed his phone to his father and took out his Airpod so his father could talk to Jane properly.

"Kon'nichiwa, watashi no aisuruhito.. Watashi wa genkidesu, watashi wa ie ni watashi no denwa o nokoshimashita," said Ben calmly, while on the other side, he can hear Jane's frantic voice. (Hello, my dear.. I'm fine, I left my phone in the house).
