Denver, Colorado, USA

Caden took out the brown folder as he drank his coffee on the patio of a farmhouse, waiting for the owner to join him. He gazes again at the old picture of Don Cassano's family in the restaurant and a teenage version of Jane having fun with her family. He sighed as he realized his mistake in not checking on Jane when they first started dating, and yes, he has started calling her Jane, not Void anymore.

"Still looking at old cases?," asked a voice in front of him.

Caden looked up and smiled, standing up to shake hands with a man who was walking towards him, slightly limping.

"Caden The IronEgg, what brings you here in Denver?," asked the man, lighting up his cigarette as he sat down in front of Caden.

"Nice to see you alive and healthy, Miles Of Spiderland," replied Caden with a chuckle.

"Well, of course, I am, beers and sex really help," said Miles, wiggling his eyebrows, "Now, what can I do for you?,".

"I need your help, Miles," Caden sighed, as he slid the folder towards Miles.

Miles grabbed the folder and opened it, scheming the case documents first before looking at the pictures.

"Where did you get this?," asked Miles.

"Somewhere.. Over the rainbow," Caden started singing.

"Oh fuck off," Miles spat at him.

He concentrated on the pictures and let out a deep breath.

"I remembered it so well that night," said Miles, his eyes on Don Cassano's picture, "We were supposed to take her in for questioning, but Seria.. I don't know what's wrong with her that night, she was aiming at that teenage girl. I think she was obsessed with revenge,".

He sighed again as he leaned back in his seat, the memory of that night clearer than the sky above.

"Miles..," Caden calls him.

"Il Ragno Rosso is a family legacy and it has been passed down from mother to daughter for decades," said Miles, "I heard they exist during the late 1800s,".

"Then what is that got to do with Director Seria?," asked Caden.

"Seria believed that Don Cassano's mother killed her father," said Miles.

"And did she?," Caden frowned.

"No one knows.. Her father was the Chief of INTERPOL thirty years ago," said Miles, "One day he disappeared, his body turned up in Hudson River a week after that with a dead spider in his fist,".

"But that still doesn't make any sense," said Caden.

"It does because Seria's father had an affair with Don Cassano's mother," replied Miles, as Caden looked at him shockingly, "There's a chance that Rory Cassano and Seria are sisters,".

================================================================================

Caden stayed for dinner that night but even the steak that Miles had grilled exactly as Gordon Ramsey instructed in YouTube, his mind was still elsewhere on the revelation of Seria and Rory might be sisters. The timeline was perfect but why would Don Rory's mother kill Seria's father? Is it because Seria's father wouldn't leave his wife? But Don Rory had already existed. None of these makes any sense at all.

"You know, your steak won't cut if you just stare at it," said Miles, shoving off a few bits of roasted potatoes in his mouth, "You're not Cyclops,".

"Sorry, I was just.. Man.. That was really twisted," said Caden, putting down his fork and massaging his temple.
