Chapter Thirty Eight

Aries’s P.O.V 
After Harry and Dumbldore had left, I had continued to wait for them before they Apparated back only to see that Harry was holding Dumbledore and I went over to help him, “bloody hell, what happened?” I asked them, “we need to get you to the Hospital Wing sir.” Harry said to him before setting him down on the steps, “no. Severus. Severus is who we need. Wake him. Tell him what happened. Both of you speak to now one else. Severus, Harry and Aries.” Dumbledore said and we were about to leave before we heard a door open, “hide yourselves below Harry and Aries. Don’t speak or be seen by anybody without my permission. If anything happens, it can parative you both stay below. Harry, Aries do as I say.” Dumbledore said before hearing another noise, “trust me. Trust me. Dumbledore said to us before Harry and I eventually went below and waited, “I have a bad feeling about this.” I told Harry in a whisper before seeing Draco appear, “bloody hell is he doing here?” I asked in a whisper, “don’t know but it’s probably nothing good.” Harry whispered as both Draco and Dumbledore talked to each other, “good evening Draco. What brings you here on this fine spring evening?” Dumbledore said to him as I noticed Malfoy had his wand raised at Dumbledore, “who else is here? I heard you talking.” Draco said to him, “please tell me it’s not what it looks like.” I whispered to Harry, “it’s not what it looks like.” Harry whispered back, “that didn’t sound very convincing.” I whispered to him as I grabbed my wand from my back pocket just in case anything were to happen as they continued to talk to each other and eventually Malfoy showed something on his arm and I was able to see that it was the Dark Mark as he also mentioned that if he didn’t what Voldemort had asked him to do, Voldemort would kill him and I felt bad for him, “did you know about any of this?” Harry asked and I whispered and I was only about to shake my head as I continued to watch, “no, I didn't, all he told me was that he said he didn’t have a choice in any of this. I swear to you that’s all I know.” I whispered back to him not knowing what to do as I felt myself panic  

After a while, Bellatrix and a few others had appeared as they walked up from behind Malfoy, “we have to do something. We can’t just stand here and do nothing.” I said to Harry, “you know we can’t. Dumbledore told us not to.” He whispered before hearing them speak up again, “well, look what we have here.” Bellatrix said as she walked up to Draco and said something in his ear, “good evening Bellatrix. I think introductions are in order, don’t you?” Dumbledore said to her, “Love to Albus, but I’m afraid we’re on a bit of a tight schedule.” Bellatrix said as Harry and I walked around to get a better view of what was happening up above us before she tried getting Malfoy to kill Dumbledore but I can see that he doesn’t want to, “he doesn’t have the stomach, just like his father.” one of the Death Eaters said and Harry and I eventually noticed Snape standing behind us as we slowly pointed our wands at him as he motioned for us to stay quiet before he walked away and went up to the others before speaking up, “no.” he said to them and  began to panic, “is this some kind of trick or something,” I whispered to Harry, “I don't’ think so Aries.” Harry whispered back as my panic only grew, “Severus. Please.” Dumbledore said to him as he begged, “Avada Kedavra.” Snape said killing Dumbledore and before I could make a sound, Harry had covered my mouth as I started crying before falling to my knees as it brought back memories of dad, “Aries. Aries, we have to go.” Harry said to me as he made me look at him and all I could do was nod before he helped me up and we eventually left the Astronomy Tower and rushed to follow the others and continued to do so as we rushed through the forest before seeing them at Hagrids, “SNAPE. HE TRUSTED YOU.” Harry shouted at him before seeing Bellatrix set Hagrid's home on fire before Harry tried attacking Snape, “FIGHT BACK, YOU COWARD FIGHT BACK.” Harry said before we were both attacked ourselves and I just stayed there not wanting to move before finally deciding to do so after Harry was thrown back again, “how could you.” I said to Snape as he walked up to us but he said nothing before looking at Harry, “you dare use my own spells against me Potter. Yes, I am the Half Blood Prince.” Snape said before kicking Harry's wand away and walked away.

After a moment, I helped Harry up before he went to grab his wand before the both of us walked back to the Castle, “what happens now?” I asked him, “I don’t know. But what I do know is that I’m going to finish what Dumbledore started with the Horcruxes.” he said, “Harry wait a minute.” I said and he stopped walking, “what? What is it?” he asked me and it took me a moment before answering, “you can’t just go hunting Horcruxes. At least figure it out. See if Dumbledore left any clues on where the others could be.” I told him and he said nothing before nodding, “fine. I’ll take your suggestion on it even though I know Hermione might say the same thing but right now, we have to worry about what had just happened alright.” he said and I nodded and let out a sigh, “everyone’s probably seen him by now. Realising he’s dead.” I mentioned as we continued walking back to the Castle, “I know.” he said and we eventually made it back to the Castle and went looking for where Dumbledore’s body was. By the time we found him, everyone was surrounding it as Harry and I made our way past everyone before he knelt down in front of Dumbledore as I stood next to Hermione and Ron and began to cry as Ginny went over to Harry and hugged him trying to comfort him as well before I noticed Professor McGonagall raise her wand and I soon had done the same before everyone else slowly began to do the same and after a moment had gone by, everyone began to lower their wands as Ginny continued to stay with Harry. After a while, Professor McGonagall and some of the other teachers had everyone go back to their Common Rooms and I walked over to Harry as both Ginny and I managed to get him back to the Gryffindor Common Room and by the time we got there, he went to sit down on the couch in front of the fireplace and I went to sit down by the window where I usually sit as I thought to myself as I wanted to be alone for a while as I continued to cry about Dumbledore’s death before I felt someone rest their hand on my shoulder and I looked to see that it was Hermione, “we’re here for you and Harry. You know that right.” Hermione said and I nodded, “I know. I don’t know if Harry wants to talk to anyone right now though. But you do, have Ginny talk with him. He might open up to her.” I said to Hermione as I saw Ron walk up to us, “what exactly happened anyways?” Ron asked and I didn’t say anything at first as it all played through my mind before finally speaking up, “when we were on the Astronomy Tower, Malfoy came not long after Harry and Dumbledore got back from doing something, they had told me to stay back and wait. Anyways, Malfoy had his wand out and pointed it at Dumbledore after Harry and I had hide underneath and eventually found out, You-Know-Who had threatened Draco that he would kill him if he didn’t do what he had asked of him and that was to kill Dumbledore, but things changed. It was Snape that killed him in the end.” I told them and they said nothing as I was still trying to process it all as I looked out the window.

After a moment had gone by, one of them finally spoke up, “so Harry was right about Malfoy then” Ron said and I nodded, “but what it sounded like from Malfoy's side was that he didn’t have a choice in the matter.” I told them, “I honestly don’t know what to say.” Hermione said to us, “shocker.” I said to her before looking at Harry only to see that he hadn’t moved from where he was as Ginny was sitting next to him, “I wonder what’s going through his mind right now.” I said to them, “who knows. He could be going through every emotion at the moment about what the both of you had just witnessed.” Hermione said, “I guess you’re right. Right now I feel like I want to throw everything in the room.” I said to them as I looked out the window again, “we don’t blame you mate. I would to if I had gone through all of that.” Ron said and I wiped a tear away, “what do you think is going to happen now?” Hermione asked, wondering, “I don’t know. But I know one thing for sure is that there’s going to be a fight sooner than we think. Just don’t know when it will be. So I hope that no matter when it will be, I hope that we’re ready for it wherever it is.” I said to them as my anger towards Voldemort only grew. Later that night, I had gone to my dorm and went straight to sleep after getting changed into something comfier as I was starting to get tired.
