Everything stood dark, I couldn't see anything. The only sounds that I heard were my heartbeat and breathing. I was walking for what felt like an eternity, only to be stopped by a sudden voice. I snap my head in the direction the noise came from. A man stood there, I could tell he wasn't just any man. He walked closer to me till we were about 2 feet apart. He had this complex about him that seemed almost angelic.

"Grayson, You are about to endure the fight of your life. Things won't be easy but this is your destiny. Are you ready for this?" He smiled at me.

Before I could respond, Everything around me disappeared. There was a blinding light peeking through my eyelids as I remembered that I had fainted.

My eyes open with a bit of force. I look out into the room and see Zain standing in the corner; staring at me with worry in his eyes. He rushes to my side and hugs me tightly. I hug him back; still fatigued with what had happened. My memory was still fuzzy. Everything was slowly coming back to me. I glance up at Zain.

"My Mom, What did she say?" I saw a flash of disappointment in his eyes before he shook his head at me.

"She didn't say much. Nothing that would help anyways. You seemed to have been struggling in your sleep. did something happen?" I look up at him, debating if I wanted to say anything about it. I mean, The man forewarned me the war was about to take place soon. I still didn't understand what he meant.

"I was in darkness. I was walking for a long time trying to find something to help me. a man appeared to warn me about a war was brewing. He claimed it was my destiny to end the fight." I slowly got out of bed. His words were taunting me at this point. I couldn't think of anything else besides this. No matter how hard I tried.

Zain grabs my arm to stop me from walking away and pulls me to him. He wraps his arms around my waist to pull me in. I look up at him curiously.

His eyes shift colors slightly. There is a small amount of red within his irises. I take a step back; feeling a tinge of fear and guilt pass through me.

"Zain... Your eyes are red." I say. My voice comes out a bit shakey no matter how hard I try to control it.

"There's something you need to know about me. I'm a vampire Grayson. I'm the one who saved you. I was the one who found you knocked out and took you to the hospital..." Grayson looks like he's deep in thought. After a while, he starts to react again.

"If you want me to leave then—" he cuts me off

"No! I don't want that. I don't care that you're a vampire. I only care about you. I have these strong feelings that almost draw me to you. I cant get you out of my mind. Every second of everyday, You're all I think about. You're a vampire. So what! I'm a witch. You accepted me. Now it's my turn." I sat there panting for breathe, trying to breathe. Losing Zain was the last thing I wanted.

"I'll always be here for you. I feel that same way about you. You give me a reason to live. You make me feel amazing and it's almost if my heart has continued beating." He hugs me tightly. We stay that way for a few minutes before he breaks the silence.

"How long has it been since you had fed?" He chuckles and kisses my cheek.

"A few days; but fine. I am." I glare at him and he puts his hands up in surrender.
