chapter ten-leaving home

As we got back on the van,I waved my family goodbye and we headed off,Trisha came along with Keshia as mom insisted.Shi-su sat on the sofa,watching Korean dramas on his phone,Kye sat on the other side of the sofa,writing a lot of letters.

Tay sat next to Trisha with his arm over the couch,Keshia got on to Tay’s lap and said her first word ever.

“Dada”

Tay looked completely shocked,and tears ran down his face.

“she called me Dada..wow…you said your first word keke”

Tay lifted Keshia up and gave her a kiss on the cheek. 

Q sat down next to me with a wedding brochure in his hand.

“what’s that?”

“i’m trying to figure out what to do about the wedding,it’s a perfect way to get our minds off this whole situation”

“that’s nice..uh..babe..i’m not feeling good right now”

“you ok?”

Everyone in the van looked at me with concerned expressions.

“it’s probably just a stomach bug..i think i’ll be ok”

“sis…are you pregnant?”

Me and Q looked at each other and then looked away.

“ it’s too early to bring a baby into the picture when we’re not even married yet”

“she’s right,plus right now,we’re not fully prepared to take care of one”

At that moment,I felt sick and ran into the bathroom and started throwing up.Q came in to hold my hair back,after that i washed my hands and then walked out of the bathroom.

“whoa sis..you really are pregnant..”

“Trisha shut up! this isn’t what i need right now”

“well..i do got a mansion back in florida..”

“you do?..”

“yea,i renovated for the both of us..or if we ever have a family”

Q touched my stomach and then looked at me.

“we’re gonna be ok..alright”

I nodded ast Q said that.every part of me felt uneasy but with Q by my side i felt like i could conquer anything if i believe in myself and the people around me..that was my true Holiday….🥀
