4: New Job

Elsa's POV

A new job? I literally just arrived at Burgess and there is already a possibility of getting a job. Do I really want a job right now? I mean, I just got here. But I'm probably going need the money for future taxes and more importantly, for Anna. I'm the eldest sibling and I have to take full responsibility now that we are orphans.

"Elsa!" My thoughts were cut off by an impatient but concerned Merida. "There, I've been trying to get your attention. You alright lass?" She asked I came back to my senses and nodded.

"I'm fine, just thinking about the offer." I said with a small smile, "Do you think that I could get the job later?" I asked unsure, but who am I kidding I need this job. She shook her head, "The company is in need of the position right now." She explained. "Well what kind of job will it be?" I asked her.

"A secretary, for the CEO." She said straight to the point. A secretary, huh. That will do, I believe they make over $35,000 a year. But am I going to be ready for all the paperwork, documents, and meetings. "I don't have a choice do I?" I replied looking down at the snow deciding what to do.

"Everyone has a choice Elsie, just make sure it's the right one." (A:N: *laughs like Rumpelstiltskin*) She stated, it made me sigh. Come on Elsa, it's just another big step you have take in your life. Remember this is a fresh start, do it for Anna.

"Then, yes. I will take the offer." I answered and looked up at Merida, she smiled at me gently. "Where do I start?" I smiled, "You're going to need a résumé, if you choose to do it person." She suggested, "I would rather not." I said biting my lip, I'm not very good with face to face conversations.

She smiled at me, "I understand, let's just send it to them. Maybe they'll pick you." She replied I just shrugged, "I doubt it." I simply said she chuckled lightly. I really need the job though, it feels like college again. You send an application to see if you get in. "Hey Elsa!" I turn my attention to Rapunzel.

"You want to go to Starbucks so the rest of us can catch up?" She asked with the usual happy smile she always has, I returned the smile, "Of course I do."

She grabbed my wrist and we caught up with the others.

Jack's POV

I got ready to go to Hiccup's place. I wore my favorite navy blue hoodie, light brown skinny jeans, and dark blue converses. Hiccup's room is a few doors away on the same floor so you could just walk. Kristoff and Flynn are on the same floor as well.

When I reached his door, I knocked and he immediately opened it with a sympathetic smile. I chuckled a little, "Why the long face Hiccup? It's not like somebody died." I joked trying to cheer myself up. "Jack, I know how much your mom means to you, to all of us. We are affected too, but I appreciate you trying to lighten up the mood." He said with a slight laugh at the end.

He moved to the side to let me in, which I did. I went to his living room and saw that Kristoff and Flynn already here. They all had the same distressed look on their faces.

"Hey Jack." Kristoff greeted.

"How are you doing?" Flynn questioned, I just shrugged.

"I really don't know what to feel." I admitted, "Like I said Jack, we are going to miss her too." Hiccup stated as he pats my back for comfort. I smiled gratefully, "But the thing is, I need to find a new secretary." I said they all nodded in agreement.

"I guess we'll have to hold interviews or take résumés," Kristoff continued, "which do you prefer?" They all turned their attention to me. "I prefer the résumés." I answered. Sometimes I feel uncomfortable talking to someone face to face, alone. But my friends understand.

"Well, when will you choose?" Eugene asked, "How about next week. We should probably have a lot of people to select by then." We all nodded at the idea.

After a while we talked about other things besides work like make jokes, our high school past, and how life is going. After that Kristoff, Flynn, and I said goodbye to Hiccup and went back to our separate ways.

Once I got home, I sat on the couch and took out my guitar. Yes, I can play guitar I can also sing but no one knows that. I strummed my fingers over the strings for a while, lost in my thoughts until I looked at the time.

10: 35, I better get to bed.

I went to my bathroom that was in my bedroom and took a shower, brushed my teeth, and but on comfortable clothes. I lied on my bed until my eyes were heavy and fell asleep.

Here is another chapter! Yay!!!

And don't worry it's only a matter of time until Jack and Elsa finally meet I'm just taking things at a slow pace because I just like it that way. But I might time skip in the next chapter.

But I shouldn't take all the credit for these great ideas, my friends help me as well and they support me completely. Thank you!
