Soon after my departure with Sam and Nate I found my way into New York City, but I quickly realize just how expensive it would be to stay here. I decided to keep moving. I caught buses and trains and walked many miles. Pick pocketed wallets which I used for money and even as a fake ID just incase I would need it. I slummed my way around for many years and got to see many parts of the country. made many friends and lost many aswell. The one thing that kept me from losing my mind and being heartbroken over losing Sam was writing. I fell in love with literature and reading. Any book i could get my hands on I consumed it and absorbed it. I lived by the books I read. I think my favorites were the history books. I loved absorbing knowledge in any capacity. I wrote down facts I thought were cool or interesting incase I found other books that went into further detail. I had many about crusaders, wars, love, peace, heartbreak, and many others. My favorites were the pirate stories. I think they were my favorite because they reminded me so much of Sam and Nate. I often wondered about their lives, if they ate or had a place to sleep tonight.

Years later I had found myself a job in journalism. I loved the travel and adventure. I was obsessed with writing and I had found a way into a decent job. Over the years leading up until this point I had gotten into a lot of trouble with men whom I owed money. I eventually got caught for identity theft, but I was never convicted, just warned and put on parol. This job had been this first good thing to come into my life in a really long time. I had a file on my desk when I walked into work this morning. I had to train a new journalist so she would be shadowing me for the day. "Elena. hmm." I looked over her file which was covered in her many accomplishments from schools she went to. Even had a college degree in journalism. I was just a punk kid who stumbled her way here. Little did I know that Elena and I were gonna be an inseparable pair. We went in on an apartment together. We were like sisters. Best friends. Elena and quickly become family to me and she openly loved me. I didn't tell her too much about my past, but she would always try to pick it out of me.
"What about school?! you had to have had a boyfriend back in school!! I mean look at you! you're hot! any guy with a pair of eyes can see that!" she began once again with said prying
"I mean.. I fell in love once.." i said hesitantly.
"Ouhhh!!! do tell!!!!!" she focused her attention back on me
"He was funny. always kind to me, but kind of a pain in the ass aswell. your typical bad boy. we actually met cause we were sneaking cigarettes and.. yeah" i smiled thinking of those found memories again. "his name was Sam. He was my first and only love. I had a boyfriend a while back, but he didn't really love me and I didn't really love him either so we broke up." i sighed. "i dunno. i never saw Sam again.. I miss him though. we always took care of eachother."
Elena smiled at me and punched my arm. "Well maybe fate will bring you two together again! i dunno, but to me is sounds like you guys are soulmates or something. i can feel it!" she smiled "are you packed for tomorrow?"
ah tomorrow. another adventure. Elena and I had a show we filmed for that talked about lost parts of history. I was the brains of the operation and she was the cameraman, but she did a lot more too. she was well read, obviously, so she knew a lot.

We made our way to the boat to meet up with a guy named Nathan Drake. He was hunting for Sir Francis Drake's coffin and needed funding but also didn't mind us filming the show. I was excited. I loved the adventure and I couldn't wait for this new series! Elena and I said our good nights as we anxiously went to bed. This should be fun.
