The Arrow House, Warwickshire, 1924:
A R T H U R couldn't wait any longer. Everyone were seated at the table downstairs, ready to dine, but the two main people weren't present still. So, telling everyone he'd get the newlyweds out of their pre-time honeymoon phase, he got up and went up the stairs, opening the door without knocking to see Elle putting on her tights as Tommy sat on the bed next to her. "Tommy? Oh!" Arthur exclaimed loudly and quickly walked out of their room, covering his eyes in embarrassment as Tommy stood up with a dull look on his face. "I didn't see a thing. Did not see a thing. Sorry, brother."
Eleanor rolled her eyes with a chuckle before she began to put on her shoes, realizing that one of her earrings went missing when she and Tommy were in bed. She began to look around as she heard Tommy speak to his older brother. "I need you downstairs," Arthur commented with a smile as Tommy continued to lean against the doorway, smoking a cigarette.
"It's all right. We're done," Tommy sighed as he glanced at his older brother, who still stood away from the door so he wouldn't see Eleanor running around half-dressed. "You good?"
"Never been better..."
Tommy narrowed his eyes at Arthur then. "Are you drunk?"
"Huh? No," Arthur answered so Tommy nodded and eventually handed his older brother a flask to drink from. Eleanor heard that and decided to just take out her other earring and go out like this. She furrowed her eyebrows, well aware Arthur couldn't drink anymore. Whatever Tommy was doing felt strange, if not angering to Eleanor as she began to approach the two brothers, but then realized that her dress was unzipped. "All right, it's just one drink then."
"Linda's a good woman, Arthur," Tommy commented nonchalantly as Eleanor approached a mirror and began to zip up her dress, the movement rather difficult, but she was doing a fine job so far. Arthur took a sip of the whiskey and handed the flask back to Tommy. "A good man needs to hold out sometimes, eh?"
"Tommy, what the hell are you doing?" Eleanor finally approached the two men, turning her back to Tommy to help her zip up the remains of her dress. She smiled when Arthur looked away like a gentleman all while Tommy zipped up her dress and kissed her cheek.
"So, uh, do I mention this in my speech, then, eh?" Arthur asked Eleanor gingerly so she grinned at her brother-in-law, Tommy glancing between his wife and brother with a mere smile on his face.
"Not unless you want me to cut you open, Arthur," she smiled sweetly so Arthur nodded his head, aware that with this woman there weren't really any games. "I can't find my earring, Tommy, but other than that, I am good to go. Go get your jacket."
Tommy nodded his head. "Just tell the waiters to open up the champagne. We'll be down there in a minute," the Shelby male told his brother calmly and walked past Elle and back into their bedroom to grab his jacket.
