Chap 8: Discusion with the Crown Prince
In the training ground
"Father I apologize for asking for your present in such a busy day but I want to show you my new invention that you wouldn't regret giving me some of your time" -Isolabella
"Mm..we'll see" Duke Griffith
"Father this is gun"-Isolabella
"Gun?"-Duke Griffith
"Yes. As a duke I beleive that father have held the crossbow before " -Isolabella
"Of course" -Duke Griffith
"As father can see as it's have the trigger right here and a few holes in a specific size. And this small thing is a bullet. The ways to use it is quite simple. You just need to fill the holes with the bullet and pull the trigger like this.. .Leo "
Isolabella wave her hand and one of the worker, Leo arranged a glass bottle a few feet away from them. Isolabella's finger then slowly pulling the trigger and "💥" a loud sound with the sound of glass crashing can be heard.
"How..how did you do it? I didn't even see the bullet and suddenly when I averted my eyes the glass already shattered" Duke Griffith was amazed that he didn't realize how big was he gaped his mouth.
"As father can see gun almost have the same function as crossbow but in a different way. Not only that it's more efficient it's also light and easy to carry" Isolabella explain calmly.
"This.." the duke was speechless. He was so mesmerize that he with the weapon in front of his eyes that he forgot about the present of the servant and their household knight.
Then, Isolabella proceed her introduction with explosive, machine gun, and riffles.
The duke and Isolabella spent almost 3 hours talking about the gun and it's production. Not only that the Duke Griffith agree to help Isolabella to produce the gun in a bigger scale but he also want to introduce it's towards the emperor in their next meeting.
The few day later
Today father told us that the emperor is asking for our presence. Since mother health condition is worsing lately(after a few days staying in Isolabella body, she getting closer with her mother). That's mean that's i'll be riding a carriage with two freezer that will always spreeding the cold air around them.
In the imperial palace
"Griffith de Cunninghum, greet his majesty sun of the empire, moon of the empire and star of the empire"
"Isolabella de Cunninghum greet his majesty sun of the empire, moon of the empire and star of the empire"(I don't know how to write greeting)
(William have a work to do so he can't meet with emperial family)
"Rise up. There's no need for the formalities" the emperor said.
After both daughter and father rise their head the empress started the conversation and after a few topic she finnaly mention about the engagement. After a few minute, they finally made a desicion to let both Isolabella and the Crown Prince Asher to discussing the matter among themselves.
In the imperial garden
"You can leave now" Isolabella said but all of the servant didn't move even an inch but when the crown prince is the one who say it they leave immediatelly. Seeing this Isolabella sigh. Not long after that, the atmostphere turn awkward. To ease the tension Isolabella reach the cookies in front of her and eat it happily ignoring the stare from the man in front of her.
"Tsk..tsk.. look like you completely lose your mind after the trial until you forgot about the manner" the crown prince sneer. "I think i'm the one who should say that" Isolabella reply calmly. "You...enough. I don't what kind of trick you're playing right now but I wouldn't fall for it" he say in a proud manner while crossing his arm.
Chuckle Isolabella calmly answer" rather than worrying but unnecessary thing like what kind of trick that I have under my sleave, why don't your highness worry about your position?"
"What do you mean!? Are try to treatening me!?" the crown prince enraged.
Smirking Isolabella opened her folded fan and answer" I think your highness forget that everything that you have right now is all because of me. Even your position. I don't think your highness beleive that it's because of your talent right? Up until now you can only become the crown prince because i like you. Because of the Cunninghum Dukedome support. With your appereance that didn't even resemble emperial family even a little did you really think that you can become the crown prince? Did you really think that you're that talented? Open your eyes. With or without you, i'm still the mighty Cunninghum young lady but without me you're nothing. As an arictocriat love is nothing for us but power is. Once I choose the other prince did you really think that you can still enjoying your life like this?" The crown prince was stunned. He can't even utter any word.
Suddenly a realization hit him. Everything that he have right now, his position... he doesn't want to lose the position of the throne. He can't lose it. He need Isolabella. He need her by his side.
Suddenly Isolabella get up from her seat, goes away saying "my middle finger salute you!"
Third person pov
Without both of them realising there's someone who listening to their conversation till the end. "The show will start soon. I wonder who will win"
