Forbidden Love

Chapter three

Castiel had spent the past five hours in a flower shop trying to pick out a bouquet. Despite them all being beautiful flowers if he found something to dislike about each one.
"How about this one?" The owner asked showing red roses.
"No those are too thorny and stereotypical, they need to be perfect, " Castiel responded. The owner sighed since he was running out of flowers to show him.

"Well okay you said this is for your girl right, what does she like?" The owner asked. Castiel thought about what Marina liked, he knew that she loved to write songs, she was a song writer. He also knew that similar to Kristina and Shela she loved writing stories, maybe he should have gotten her a notebook instead.
I don't even know if she likes flowers, he thought to himself in a brief moment of panic. But then a bouquet with different shades of purple and pink roses caught his attention.

"Wait those are perfect, " Castiel said pointing to them. The owner looked at him strangly since no one now a days asked for purple roses. They were rare but everyone usually went for red, pink or white.
"Here you go, " the owner said handing him the bouquet. "Can I go now?" He was so ready to just leave this place, and relax at home.
"But don't have to pay?" Castiel asked confused. There were price tags on all the flowers here so he was sure, that they weren't free.

"I'll pay for them and do me a favor please don't ever come back, " the owner said using his own money to pay for the flowers. He walked away from the counter without saying a word and Castiel tilted his head in confusion.
"I don't understand why he said that, " the angel decided not to dwell on it. He left the shop and used his powers to keep the flowers from dying. They were also quite big and he wanted this to be a suprise so he shrunk the flowers until they fit into his trenchcoat. Now came the hard part, figuring out what to say when he gave them to Marina. As he was walking he accidentally bumped into a woman, who he didn't realize was Meg.

"Excuse me, " she said politely.
"My apologies, " Castiel answered.
"Ahh Clarence you sure say that a lot, but I'm actually glad that I ran into you, " Meg responded. The angel blinked recognizing the nickname since only Meg had called him that, but it couldn't be.
"Meg?" Castiel asked unable to find the right words.
"Hi, " she responded with a big smile. "I missed you, " she continued caressing his face. "Glad we're back together again, "

Castiel almost welcomed the touch. Despite Meg being a demon and them being sworn enemies, Meg had been his first love. He had been saddened during her first death at the hands of Crowley, but he eventually moved on and developed feelings for another angel Hannah. She had died as well, but at least she hadn't come back and sided with Lucifer. Because that's what Meg had done, after seeming like she wanted to be good. As soon as Liza brought her back from the empty, she was back to being loyal to Lucifer.

"Not like that, " Castiel said removing her hand. Meg looked disappointed and figured he said that because she had sided with Lucifer.
"Clarence is that about what happened when I came back, I'm sorry that I didn't come to you, " Meg said. "I wanted to but you were off in... " She was cut off.
"It doesn't have anything to do with what, I'm talking about what you've done to my friends ever since you came back, " Castiel answered almost sounding angry. It was because of her actions like possessing Shela,  kidnapping Kristina's family, and trying to stop the prophecy. That made it easier for him to fight against her the last time he saw her. 

"Your friends?" Meg asked quite bitterly. "You mean those new girls that married Sam and Dean or their brats!?" She exclaimed. "What about me, I took care of you and turned against Crowley for you!" She continued. "And you're willing to just cast me aside for some mortal!" She kept going. "She will grow old and leave you, I never would, "
"Silence!" Castiel ordered. Meg froze at the sight of his eyes flashing blue. "Don't insult Marina in my prescense, now I order you to leave before I choose to kill you, "

"You'll be sorry for this and I'll win you back, " Meg promised before she left. Castiel continued to watch until she vanished from sight, most likely to do whatever demons did when they got upset. Taking a deep breath he flew off to observe the area, with Meg walking around he couldn't take any chances. Unfortunately he couldn't seem to find her so he ended his search early, and decided to continue with his plan. But to make sure that no one got hurt with Meg he texted Sam and Dean to let them know what had happened.

The angel knew that the brothers would be able to handle her, in fact their wives and children could take out Meg. She was only one demon, she didn't have any allies left so what damage could do alone? When Castiel  reached Marina house he could hear her playing the piano. Most likely she was working on one of her songs, and he wondered if it would be okay if he just listened for awhile. Unfortunately she saw him through the window and went to the door to let him in.
"Castiel how long have you been there?" She asked opening the door.

"I umm..." He stammered and wasn't sure how to explain himself.
"We're you stalking me?" Marina asked with a teasing smile.
"No I wasn't I was just umm... " Castiel answered. "I wanted to give you something," Marina was a little suprised by his nervousness. While she liked him she wanted to keep their relationship as plantoic as she could. Castiel was an angel and they couldn't have romantic relationships, since that resulted in them being kicked out of Heaven.

"What is it?" Marina asked. Castiel took a second deep breath and took the flowers out of his coat. "Oh I've never seen flowers so small, " she commented unsure what to say. Castiel used his grace to return the roses to their original size and handed them to her. "Wow theses are beautiful, " she said smelling them. "Cass this is so sweet, I don't know what to say, "
"You could say yes because I am about to ask you out on a date, " Castiel said.
