Hey guys! First update since...EONS. I know, I know. It's short and Blah Blah (cause I've just reconstructed). But, I've finally found the drive to write again so... forgive my fins. Don't forget to Vote or Comment! Fan me and lets be friends!

For those who had read the story before, this was under construction and I changed quite a lot of stuff and edited out a lot so you might want to read again from the start but the story's not changed and the plot's still there... but you know... Nevermind.

Lots of Love,

ELLEDANE

Chapter 7

It felt as if she were in a cell.

Metal ceilings, metal walls. They sucked the life out of Jia. Or maybe it was the lingering reminder that her mother was dead.

Anita’s face haunted her from every corner of the room. It drove her crazy. She wasn’t one from an asylum that she needed to be locked up like this. It was disgraceful. She hated it. It was no different from being tied up in that hell hole.

The dim yellow light that hung from above her flickered. There was only one window in her cell. It was located about two feet above her.

“Damn it,” Jia spat under her breath. She looked up at a security camera that she guessed wasn’t functional at all. “Hey, if you can hear me, whoever is in there, let me out!”

Maybe she really did belong to an asylum. What was she doing, talking to a security camera?

She stomped and tugged on her ridiculously short hospital gown. She was barefoot and the cold damp cement floor wasn’t exactly helping her gloominess.

Jia let out a huff of exasperation and glared back at the camera. “You can’t cage me like this! I’m not an animal! I know we’re all technically animals, but you know what I mean! It’s not like I’m Godzilla!”

Suddenly, her body started to react with her bubbling anger. She felt the familiar disgusting feeling inside of her taunting her to let loose. This time she gave in.

Her Energy expanded like a balloon inflating. The tremors overtook her body but she stood still, glaring at the security camera. Her hands were held up, ready to expel Energy at any moment.

But, a sudden sharp pain emerged from her spine. It travelled in a slow agony towards her skull. Jia cried out in pain. She cringed and supported herself from beside a wall.

What was that? She had never felt it before. It surely was not what Thaddeus does to her so it must be something else entirely different. It was like some kind of restraining force, like a pair arms tightening around her whenever she tries to break free.

Then, the metal bolt of the single door in front of her opened. And she did the only rational thing she could think of, she ran out.

“Hell yeah!” she shouted as she escaped her prison cell. Jia found herself in a tunnel littered with interconnected pipes of different circumferences and directions. Water dripped from a few leaks. White lights created a pathway and reflectorize patterns were spaced evenly from both sides. A constant humming reverberated throughout the tunnel.

It would have looked like an ordinary underground channel, if it wasn’t painted with words.

She looked around and saw words. That stopped her from running. There were different words painted on the tunnel walls. It wasn’t just written, it was painted. She could make out a few of them: flabbergasted, atrocious, hatchback, supercalifragilisticexpialidocious, burrow, Mary Grace, Six O’ Clock, January 23, le paper is pretty. Every word was stylized in a different way. Some were in elegant calligraphy, some were in bold capital letters. Some had neon colored paint and others had light grey or striking black.
