It been a little since the issue with Klaus and the passing of Jenna and John. The whole thing was a lot but when Summer came around Bonnie's dad took me and Bonnie out of town for while. It wasn't really something fun to look forward too but honestly we needed to get out.

Since we left we've been out of the loop a little but so I didn't have all the knowledge of what's going on. Although from the conversations that Bonnie's been having with Caroline and Elena, things are definitely not going in their favor.

Today we're back home. Caroline, Bonnie and I decided to head over to Elena's so they can surprise her. After everything I decided I'm gonna cut Elena some slack so that's why I'm here too.

Caroline rings the door bell, after a couple seconds, Elena opens the door.

"I come bearing gifts!" Caroline says cheerfully. Me and Bonnie are hiding so she can't see us yet.

"Please say that's not chili." Elena replies. From the sound of her voice she doesn't sound excited. Caroline steps to the side. Bonnie leans behind Caroline, announcing her presence.

"Bonnie!" Elena says.

"I'm back!" Bonnie smiles at her. They embraced each other in a hug as I walked into her view.

"Sarai! Hey" Elena smiles.

"What's up" I say waving at her.

"We leave town for the summer and everything goes to hell for the both of you." Bonnie speaks looking at her friends. They both look at each other saying nothing.

"Bonnie!" Another voice speaks. Jeremy is walking down the stairs with a happy look.

"Jeremy." Bonnie says running towards him. She rushes over to him, embracing him with a kiss. He then looks over Bonnie's shoulder and stares at the mirror. Removing his smile.

Okay?...

All this heartfelt catching up was making me hungry. While in the kitchen, we gathered a couple ingredients trying to prepare some food.

Well some of us are trying.

"The problem with my dad's normal side of the family is, normal made it a really boring summer." Bonnie says.

"I wasn't that bad" I added. Sometimes boring was highly needed.

"After the last few days, I would kill for a normal." Caroline says helping Elena with the Chili.

"Since when did you learn how to cook?" She adds.

"Damon helped a little." Elena replies.

"Damon's helping you cook now?" Bonnie questions.

"Both of you stop judging. He's just trying to be good." She says.

Haha that's funny, I laugh internally.

"Ow" Elena says suddenly wincing.

"Ahh! Did I splash you?" Caroline ask concerned.

"No, no, my necklace." She responds. Elena pulls the pendant of the necklace off her skin. A burn now present on her skin.

"It burned me." Removing the necklace. She holds it in her hand.

"Maybe it's a sign you shouldn't be wearing it." Caroline saids.

"Caroline." I say. That was low key shady.

"What, I'm just saying. If you're going to be "cooking" without Stefan."
