"You know, just because your eyes are closed doesn't mean you're meditating. Come on, use your breath. Use your breath to calm your nerves." Shane speaks.

I huffed in return. I've been spending more time with Shane as of recent. The thought of hurting anyone else makes my heart ache. I can't afford to make any mistakes.

I've been kind of avoiding Bonnie, not really. I told her that I need to spend more time with Shane to better my control but that may have been an escape route.

I feel ashamed that in being the only witch with magic I was doing a shitty job compared to what Bonnie has done.

My goal in the beginning was to be able to protect her, but if I couldn't even protect Shane or April. How could I?

"Great. So now, I can't even meditate right? What else can I fail?" I said defeated.

"Sarai, you didn't fail." Shane protested.

"I did an expression spell that almost killed April."

"Exactly! Almost. Failing would have been actually killing her. You got like a...D Minus."

"It's not funny." I snapped. A candle stood between us, on his desk already lit but ignites even more. "I went for years without any magic but I have all this power now, and I'm worried I won't be able to control it."

"Sarai? Look at me." Shane he grabs my hand, his gaze deep. "I'm here with you. You don't have anything to worry about. You are strong; you are focused. You are in complete control."

"You're here with me. I'm in complete control." I say. My gaze never dimming from his. With that the candle's flame goes out.

Then without warning, Shane's door bust opens. Revealing Sheriff Forbes with another cop.

"Sheriff?" I asked very much confused.

"Sarai , I'm gonna need you to go." Sheriff Forbes declared.

"What the hell are you doing?" Shane pressed.

"We need to ask you a few questions." The other cop with her grabs Shane, handcuffing him.

"Are you serious? I'm sure I can answer without the handcuffs. Come on, this isn't even your jurisdiction." Shane laughs, agitated.

"Then, I guess we better get you to Mystic Falls ASAP." Is the last thing Sheriff Forbes saids before the other cop takes him out.

"Wait! Why are you doing this?" I questioned in anger.

"That's something you should ask your uncle." And with that she leaves as well.

"He already explained this Uncle Rudy. Pastor Young came to him for help. He was crazy." I stressed watching Shane be interrogated by Sheriff Forbes at the police station.

"No, he was grief-stricken and Shane took advantage of it." Uncle Rudy explained.

"And somehow talked him into killing a house full of people? It doesn't make any sense."

"I've met people like this Sarai. They're fast-talking, they're charismatic, they're manipulators. They prey on the weak-minded."

"Mmm. And you're worried that's what he's doing to me. That's why you brought him in, isn't it?" I say folding my arms.

"No. We brought him in because April Young told us what he did. Rebekah Mikaelson confirmed it. He confessed to her." Uncle Rudy expressed.

"April? What? I'm going in there."
