Third Pov

As Hank and (Y/n) stepped out of the elevator Connor was still inside it. "Connor!" "You ran outta batteries or what?" He questioned him. "I'm sorry." He responded, "I was making a report to CyberLife." "Right, I forgot how you could do that..." (Y/n) said, putting his hands in his coat pocket. "Uh..." "Well, do you plan on staying in the elevator?" Hank questioned. "No!" "I'm coming." The two non-androids walked off leaving Connor alone.

Connor Pov

Question the suspect

"What do we know about this guy?" Lieutenant Anderson asked me. "Not much." "Just that a neighbor reported that he heard strange noises coming from this floor." "Nobody's supposed to be living here, but the neighbor said he saw a man hiding a LED under his cap." "Oh Christ, if we have to investigate every time someone hears a strange noise, we're gonna need more cops." The Lieutenant leaned onto the wall next to a door. "Hey, were you really making a report back there in the elevator?" "Just by closing your eyes?" "Correct." "You know if I could make reports back at the station that easily I think my job would be way easier." (L/n) sighed out. "You and me both (Y/n)."

I went to the door and knocked on it, I turned to the two of them, unsure of what to do. All the Lieutenant did was shrug. (L/n) sighed at his response. "Try knocking it again." I nodded at The Detective and knocked again. "Anybody home?" I yelled. The Lieutenant looked puzzled. "Open up! Detroit Police!" Soon afterward we heard a crash and movement. The two officers drew their guns. "Stay behind me." "Got it." Both the Detective and I said. The Detective motioned me behind him and I obeyed. Holding his gun up Lieutenant Anderson kicked the door down. We walked inside, both of their guns drawn while I was empty-handed.

We explored the hallway, but no one was there. The side rooms connecting to the hallway were unoccupied. Anderson busted through the door and pigeons started to fly out. "-Shit, that's a lot of fucking pigeons." (L/n) cursed out. "What the fuck is this?" Anderson asked. As we entered the room we saw more pigeons.

Investigate the apartment

"Jesus, this place stinks." "Yeah, no kidding. Man, Connor, you're lucky as hell that you can't smell this." More pigeons seemed to cover the room, the room was a mess. "Uh, looks like we came here for nothin'," "Our man's gone." "Hank we can't be sure," (L/n) stated. I headed to the bathroom, and just like our previous cases 'rA9' was covering the walls. Lieutenant Anderson entered the bathroom, "Any idea what it means?" he asked me. "rA9..." I started, "written 2471 times..." "Wait, hold up, 2471 times?" Detective (L/n) yelled from the other room. "How much fucking time did they spend on that?" "You know what, never mind. I'd rather not know."

"It's the same sign Ortiz's android wrote on the shower wall..." I mentioned. "Why are they obsessed with this sign?..." "Looks like mazes or something..." Anderson pointed out.

Obsessive-compulsive writing

I looked down and saw a knocked-over stool. The sink was clearly never used but a LED and blue bloodstain was located instead. "It's LED is in the sink," I told them.

Suspect is deviant

"Not surprised it was an android. No human could live with all these fuckin' pigeons..." Hank replied. I put some of the blue substance on my fingers and sampled it.

I went to a broken wall and a notebook was inside. "Birdseed..." I heard from behind me. "I can't believe it." I pocketed the notebook and walked back to them. "Found something?" Anderson asked me. "I don't know..." "It looks like a notebook but it's... indecipherable." I looked up to see parts of the ceiling missing and more pigeons, all of a sudden the deviant popped out and knocked me over. "God damn fuckin' pigeons!" Lieutenant Anderson yelled. "Shit, Connor, are you okay?" "I'm alright Detective!"

"What are you waiting for?! Chase it!" The Lieutenant ordered. I chased the android out of the room and outside, jumping over a few obstacles we ran through the wheat fields, after some more jumping we entered a greenhouse where other people were working. "Look out!" I shouted as I chased the deviant. "Jesus look at that thing go!" I heard a human yell.

I slid down the glass roof and jumped through the broken window, more androids were inside, some carrying boxes and others tending to the plants but I ignored them and continued for the deviant. I turned right as I went through more plants and obstacles. Jumping up I landed on another glass roof and slid down, I was on the deviant's tail. As I landed on the train I heard a voice from above, it was the Lieutenant. "Holy shit..." As the train moved a blue ladder where the deviant was on not too long ago appeared before me and I jumped onto it.

I continued running through obstacles and jumping when we ran through a cornfield. When I made it to the end of the cornfield the deviant pushed the Detective making him grab onto the ledge for his safety, the Lieutenant still hadn't arrived.

I grabbed his arm and pulled him off of the ledge. "Shit! Oh shit!" He cursed as he was catching his breath "We almost had it..." He sighed out. "It's my fault," "I should have been faster," I told him. "You would have caught him if it wasn't for me..." A loud bang ensued and lieutenant Anderson came through the door. "Fuck! Kid, you okay?" He asked him. "Yeah. I think- I think I'm okay..." He told him looking at me. "If it wasn't for Connor saving me he might have been able to have caught the deviant..." "I'm just glad you're still here." He pulled the Detective into an embrace.

"I'm glad your okay kid, and that's alright. We know what it looks like." "We'll find it..." As the two of them headed to the door the detective stopped in his tracks. "Hey, Connor..." I turned around to look at him. "Thank you... You may be an android and I know you might not take it, but I just wanted to say thanks..."
