Even if they had planned Blight night with months of anticipation they could have never anticipated the success it would be or the ripples it would have in their futures. Odalia had only planned on getting attention for Alador and getting under Darius' skin. It had never occurred to her that people would also take notice of her. By the end of the night, they had both received several offers from those in attendance.

Some tried convincing them to join their covens after graduation which of course they were not interested in. The real interest was in the handful of abomination coven members that had made propositions to Alador. Some offered him internships, others job opportunities, and some even offered mentorships. The best part was that almost all of them had offered to write Alador a letter of recommendation for when he applied to join the abominations coven. It was plain to see that they acknowledged Alador’s talent and they wanted to get a hand in for his future. They were eager to please and Odalia planned to take full advantage of that.

She made sure to take everyone's information and make notes of what they were offering. She exchanged contact information with those who would hold the greatest potential for Alador and the business so that they could reach out to them. Though Alador wasn’t the only one getting offers.

Several individuals had taken a big interest in her. Most had been impressed by her skills to organize such an event within a short period of time. Many had mentioned to her that events that held this many high standing people did not happen very often and usually took months if not years to plan. Yet she had done it in only a few days. And to think that she did not have to spend a single snail to do it though she kept that to herself. Many also mention her ability to make Alador stand out. As the night had gone on Alador’s personality became harder to hide and some had taken notice of how quiet and reserved he was.

Most of the offers she received were for employment. Had they made her these same offers before she met Alador she would have taken the best one and never looked back. But they were a team besides together they would one day build a company that would put all others on the isles to shame. Still, it had been a pleasant surprise and certainly not something she would take for granted.

Though the biggest highlight of the night had been Mr. Harlow offering to invest in the development of Alador’s gloves. He wanted Alador to make a finished product which he planned on purchasing for his company. Of course, we agreed to have to sit down to go over the details later but it was a great step forward.

“Can you believe it, Alador? After tonight everyone will know your name!” exclaimed Odalia excitedly as she paced around her room.

Alador was sitting on the bed watching her walk back and forth full of energy. He loved seeing her like this so happy and full of life. “Everyone will know OUR names,” he said, emphasizing the word.

“Oh yes of course but yours is the one that matters. You are the face of Blight Industries. We need people to buy into you,” she said dismissively as she continued walking around the room too full of energy to sit down. So many doors had opened for them that night. The possibilities were endless. She didn't want to sleep, she wanted to get on her scroll and start calling people. Though it was rather late for that. Starting tomorrow she would make sure to not waste any time.

The sensation of bumping into something brought her attention back to the real world. She had walked right into Alador. She hadn’t even noticed him get off of the bed. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into a tight hug.

“Alador?” she said confused trying to look at his face for answers but was immediately taken in by his penetrating gaze. Even now her face would still flush whenever he would look at her like that.
