Gavin took a deep breath of freshly scented sheets as he rolled over, surprised that he didn't reach the edge of his bed. The mattress was so thick and firm beneath his tired, aching body. Hmm? The pillows were fluffed and thick, two of them snug beneath his head as he burrowed his face into the fresh cotton. Hmm...He sighed as he shuffled lower. The duvet felt much thicker and heavier than usual. I haven't changed my sheets in...weeks? Did Nines do it? He felt dazed and sleepy as he rolled over again.
"I didn't have you pegged as a morning person." Gavin's eyes snapped open as he shot up, right hand automatically reaching for the gun he kept beneath his pillow. It wasn't there. What the phck? His heart pounded as he looked around the unfamiliar bedroom. It was much larger than his own. The bed was a king sized, and long built-in wardrobes lined one wall with white sliding doors. On either side of the bed were small bedside cabinets, where Gavin could see his badge, gun, phone, and wallet laid out neatly. His mouth and throat felt dry as he swallowed, taking in the neat bright room, the half-dressed android with tousled hair lounging in the doorway, and his own nakedness beneath the duvet. "How are you feeling? I trust I didn't strain anything," Aaron added smoothly as he walked over with a steaming black mug.
"I-uh...I don't..." Gavin trailed off anxiously as his brain desperately tried to catch up. Aaron hummed affectionately as he plopped himself down on the edge of the bed beside him. Gavin didn't move an inch as Aaron leaned in and pressed a kiss into his fluffed brunette locks, a lazy smile on his lips. He didn't know much, but he could tell that he'd been absolutely fucking railed. He felt more fucked out and content than he had in years. Phck, I don't think I've ever woken up feeling this good. He cracked his neck, unused to the way Aaron was hovering. It wasn't clingy or needy. He was just there. Gavin was more used to shy and awkward greetings. The quick pulling on of clothes and stammered goodbyes that came with one-night stands. Coffee in bed and affectionate kisses were not his usual morning after.
"Give it a few minutes, I'm sure you'll remember...Take your time. I'm almost done with breakfast." Aaron got to his feet and left the room, likely heading for the kitchen. Breakfast? The phck kind of one-night stand is this? Gavin did as he was told, reaching hesitantly for the huge mug. He held it greedily, knowing it probably counted as two servings. Nines will know as soon as he scans me...Shit, Nines! He felt flustered as he grabbed his phone and checked the screen, unsure how to feel upon finding that he didn't have any missed calls or messages. Maybe I really did piss him off somehow...
He sighed, almost feeling disappointed as he set the phone aside and propped the pillows up so that he could lean back. Closing his eyes, he thought back and tried to remember just what the fuck happened the night before. His stomach didn't feel too bad, and his head was only aching a little behind the eyes. So I got drunk...Pretty drunk, but not academy days drunk. He sipped the coffee. It was dark and bitter. Damned good. Expensive. Aaron clearly knew how to take care of his guests. We went for dinner, talked about the AAL...Fucker got me drunk on purpose! He levelled a glare at the door as Aaron returned with a small table-tray.
"I made you pancakes." The deep timbre rumbled in Aaron's throat as he set the tray across his lap. Gavin looked at the small pile of fluffy pancakes, the bottle of syrup, the sliced up strawberries and bananas, and then up at Aaron. "A lot of my guests say they're the best they've ever tasted." Gavin licked his lips nervously, mouth watering at the sweet smell. They were going to have to have a conversation. A phcking long conversation...But that could wait until after he'd eaten. He started hesitantly, hyperaware of the blue eyes watching him.
"Wow, they are good!" Gavin admitted, though inwardly he thought Nines' were better. I wonder if he stayed at the precinct all night...Probably. Connor would have left with Hank. He almost felt like he should get him an apology present. A sorry for ditching you so early present. He usually stayed awhile after his shift ended these days. Since Nines hadn't been going home with him so often, he tended to stretch out his shift until he chased him away. After that he'd just go home and-Shit! Pipsqueak! Wait...Android cat. Pips will be fine for one night.
