Weeks passed in a blink of an eye and it was already exam week before Christmas break.

The students were busy with free time for studying but of course, a certain group of friends prefer to do their responsibilities in the school field to study.

Really, to study and not play soccer at all.

"It's like he's physically here but he's spiritually not." Minho whispered to Changbin while eyeing the younger blonde one.

Hyunjin just had his arms stretched at the back and legs laid out on the blanket, staring at nothing but clouds.

"It's been like that for a while now. Even the little one is distancing herself." Changbin pointed at Yena on the other side, who was busy studying with some of her female classmates.

The guys were never really able find out what happened between them. All they know is that Hyunjin has been acting way worse than he was before and avoiding as much interaction with Yena as possible.

The girl was doing the same, after their moment at the playground, she wasn't sure why he was acting that way but never got to asked. She felt annoyed with how he was acting with no reason at all.

Whenever they would all gather together, the same awkward atmosphere they had was even more awkward and made the others just mentally face palm.

They would even try to make advances in their way by trying to get them to be alone but either Hyunjin would just walk out without a word or Yena would say she's busy and run off as well.

"Well this started after they were at the Ferris wheel. Something must have happened because this is not how a potential couple would act after a confession." Seungmin said.

"Do you think he got rejected?" Jongin whispered to make sure Hyunjin won't hear them.

"I doubt he was even able to confess. Must be something else." Felix said while playing with the soccer ball.

They looked at him with questioning eyes.

"I talked to Yena about it. She's as confused as we are but based on her story about the Ferris wheel fiasco, no confession happened." He shrugged his shoulders and kicked the ball that went flying to Yena's direction.

Just right at the moment that Yena put down the book covering her face, the ball hit her nose.

Felix muttered a small 'oooof' and jogged to his best friend.

Yena blew on her bangs in annoyance and was rubbing her nose, groaning from the impact.

"Idiot." She coldly said and kicked Felix on the knee when he reached her place.

"Y-yah. Your nose is bleeding." Ignoring the heavy kick on his knee, Felix was alarmed and tried to check his pockets for a handkerchief.

To no avail, he scratched his temple and muttered an apology.

Yena also checked her pockets and pursed her lips. She stood up and told her classmates she was heading to the clinic while glaring at Felix.

Before she was able to walk away further, a handkerchief was offered to her.

She looked up and saw a blank faced Hyunjin, extending his arms to give his handkerchief.

Yena hesitated and Hyunjin just sighed and grabbed her hand to give it to her.
