Minori POV

Cough cough!

Cough cough!

I peel open my eyes, rubbing them as I stumble out of bed. Floating up from the kitchen, I wince as someone hacks out a few more coughs, trying to disguise them by slamming around spoons like drumsticks and blasting the news on television.
She's still not admitting she's ill, then.
"Haruka, is your throat still hurting?" I ask, padding downstairs. I watch as Haruka flips her navy bob out of her face hastily, trying to disguise a cough behind her hand.
"I'm- cough- fine, Minori. You need to stop worrying about- cough-me." Haruka sniffles, mopping her runny nose with a tissue.
"You can't go to vocal training like this!" I protest, hugging her and laying my head on her shoulder. Even minutes after waking up, she still smells as amazing as always- like mint, lime, and ice cubes, for some reason.
"I have to!" She mumbles, trying half heartedly to pull away, until she gives up and hugs me back.
"You're coming with me. You need a relaxing day off, Haruka!" I announce to the empty apartment, dragging her to the sofa.
"I don't think I can relax." She groans, her leg bouncing determinedly.
I flick through Netflix, eventually finding a true crime show that Haruka decides looks 'alright'.
"Do you want anything? Some tea, maybe?" I ask eagerly. "Airi gave me a really tasty box of these special tea bags, for sore throats!"
"I don't think I trust you in the kitchen, 'Nori." Haruka laughs gently, trying to get up.
"No, you stay here! I'm a total tea pro!" I insist, pushing her back onto the sofa. "It'll be ready in 2 secs!"
I leap to the kitchen, practically throwing all the other items out of the cupboard to find Airi's tea. 5 minutes later, I proudly produce a steaming cup of the (slightly worryingly) neon pink tea.
"Haruka! I did it!" I exclaim. "Haruka?"
I tip toe into the living room. Soft snuffling emits from sofa, and I realise with a laugh that Haruka has fallen asleep.
"Aw, I didn't realise you were this tired." I whisper, tugging the blanket around her shoulders. "Goodnight, Haruka." I kiss her on the forehead, before slipping away.
