It came time to battle, and Alih was ready. He's been in many battles before and won all of them, but never battles like this. "You ready, Zeph?" Mel asked. "Ready as I'll ever be," he responded. He looked into Melanthaha's eyes, knowing this may just be the last time they see each other alive. "I love you, Lemondrop," he said, almost in tears. Mel returned a smile to him. "I love you, too, Gumdrop."

One of the crowd members came forward to count down the battle. He looked at the two villainous people standing near him and almost ran away in fear. "Everyone ready?" he asked, stumbling over his words. The three standing near him nodded in response. "Okay... Three..." Ali prepared his sword. "Two..." Melanthaha and Zephyr both held down their stances. "One!"

The fight has begun. Melanthaha and Zephyr shot large fireballs toward Alih, while he threw his blade at them angrily. A few of the fireballs hit him, giving him third-degree burns and scars that would last a lifetime. Alih also made some hits, striking the other two and leaving deep scars to stay. Soon, Alih stabbed Zephyr in the shoulder, causing him to bleed out immensely. "Gah!" Zephyr cried. Melanthaha tried to aid him, but he pushed her away and continued the battle.

Alih smiled. He had one of them weak. "Having some trouble there, Zephie?" he teased. "Oh, shut up," Zephyr responded, holding his shoulder. He quickly sent out another fireball. Alih dodged it, then threw out his sword, skimming Melanthaha's face. It left a permanent scar over her right eye. Half her vision was filled with red liquid running down her face.

Melanthaha heard a yell from the side of her, it sounded like Zephyr. She turned, finding him lying on the ground, covered in blood, Alih's sword in his chest. Alih stood next to Zephyr, laughing at the pathetic thing laying there in pain. Mel ran to her lover, his breathing unsteady. 'Zeph- Zephyr! Zeph, no. No, no, no, no, no." She was sobbing over his body, holding his upper back and head, getting blood all over her. But she didn't care. All she cared about was her dying lover.

"Zeph, Love, please- please stay alive-" she cried out. "M- Mel-" Zephyr spoke. He coughed up a pool of blood. 'I- lo-ve love you-u, Mel..." he choked out. Melanthaha started sobbing harder than she knew. "I- I love you too, Zeph..." she responded. He looked up at her and smiled, then the hand she was holding went limp. His last breath was taken, and his last words were spoken. Melanthaha cried out a blood-curdling sob, throwing her head into Zephyr's cold hand. He was gone.
