It's the first few weeks of college. Yet while most students are still settling into their dorms or trying to adjust to the college life, Maveryk has other plans. The fox has also wanted to be part of a fraternity. The brotherhood and fun are part of the college life that he always saw and now wants to be part of it. Yet Maveryk knows that acceptance within the frat solely depends on whether or not they accept him. The frat he wants to be a part of, Omega Kappa, is participating in Rush Week and Maveryk wants in. The idea of being part of a fraternity is an exciting idea for many college students and the fox wants in on the dream. While he's had his eyes on the frat house, he knows the hard part is actually getting accepted into the fraternity. Maveryk carries some confidence with him as he makes his way over to one of the tables that carries the large banner of the fraternity he's interested in.

A few jocks are standing around the table, laughing amongst themselves about something Maveryk doesn't hear. The fox stands in front of the table where flyers and other papers are scattered over it. The fraternity brothers stop talking once Maveryk arrives. Instantly, Maveryk starts a conversation in hopes to get on the good side of the fraternity members.

"Hey. I was kinda interested in joining your fraternity. Is there an application or what...?" The fox states simply as he stands in front of the table with confidence. The animals look Maveryk up and down curiously. It's almost as if they're studying him. The fox does his best not to show any sign of nervousness but it's hard. He wants in this fraternity and he knows they could just reject him right on the spot if they wanted to. Yet one of them steps forward and leans against the table. A dark colored black and red tiger is in front of Maveryk. The tiger's shirt carries a few Greek symbols on them that Maveryk recognizes as the symbols for the fraternity he's applying to.

"Yeah? What's your name then," the tiger asks. His voice is strong and Maveryk does his best to sound just as confident.

"I'm Maveryk." The fox introduces himself.

The tiger grins at Maveryk before clearing his throat. "Well Maveryk, I'm Sliefer. I'm one of the head brothers here. Glad you're interested in us. Though if you want to be a brother, you have to go through a process." Sliefer explains vaguely. Though nothing suspicious jumps out to Maveryk right away. Instead, he quickly nods his head, eager to join.

"Yeah. I'm fine with that," Maveryk finds himself quickly agreeing. He doesn't care what he has to do to get in. He wants to get in the fraternity badly. Though Maveryk also has a deep feeling he might have to go through some form of hazing. Yet, he almost doesn't know what to expect. He had heard that hazing is no longer allowed at this university but many students find themselves still participating in the antics to get accepted in. Maveryk sure it isn't even that bad to begin with. It might just be a few pranks on him and then he would be an official member. At least that's what he hopes for.

"Great. If you want in then you have to earn your way in. Meet us at our house at nine o' clock tonight. We'll go over with the process more with you then," Sliefer says as he hands the fox a flier.

Maveryk gladly takes the invitation that has the house letters and address on it. The paper gets shoved in his pocket as he then walks away from the table. "Alright then. See you then," Maveryk says as he continues walking off.

Sliefer just waves off the leaving fox. Yet when Maveryk glances back he could see the other fraternity brothers giggling amongst each other. While that probably should be a warning sign for him, Maveryk knows he's going to have to work for his place in the fraternity. That evening, Maveryk gets dressed for his trip. The fox makes his way towards the frat house that's only a block away from being on campus. Maveryk is honestly a bit excited but does his best from showing too much eagerness. He doesn't know how hard it would be to get in at the end of the day.
