The first few days were establishing a training routine. Exercises like push-ups, situps, jogging around the mansion, and lifting heavy objects. I wore the medical long sleeve and pants for the duration of the training. It was a bit difficult at first but I had to master the breathing technique while performing these activities.
To master Total Concentration Breathing, I would meditate to prolong periods. The pain in my ears reduced significantly with the added boost to my body. I could feel myself having more energy in my body and could think more clearly. It was truly an experience.
All the while, the three girls would bring out food for me. It was a delight to have them around as they watched me train and cheered me on. From what I heard and saw, Kanao was busy with her training so she was busy most of the time. Aoi was there most of the time to clean or be an opponent in the cup game.
Of course, I had to endure slight discomfort. One day Shinobu tied a rope around my arms and legs. I noticed how tight they were.
"May I ask what's this for?" I questioned.
"This will help in stretching your body to its most limber," Shinobu told.
She clapped her hands as I was suddenly dropped to the ground. The three little ones proceeded to put me in uncomfortable positions. I groaned in agony as my body was stretched in weird postures. When they were done, I laid flat on my face in exhaustion.
"You guys could have said something," I grumbled without moving my head.
"It is best for you to get used to it now. Your body will thank you in the long run." Shinobu indicated.
Luckily I told them that I would be doing it by myself. This added to my regiment as I continued within the week.
By week two, everything was amped up. All the exercises advance to how long and far I could push myself. I eventually added my katana to my training. From there, I could tell I can slice and move my blade so effortlessly. To create my breathing style, I improved and upgraded my already skillset.
The Stone, Wind, Water, and Moon stances that I learned for facing Mongols we're being upgraded to kill demons. From these stances, I could create breathing forms. I knew I already developed three of them. Three skills I learned which I elevated to the next level when I first arrived here. I smiled at the prospect of this learning experience.
But before all, if that, Shinobu asked me to meet her so she could provide me with a few things. We were sitting in the large room where I was training in. I saw a few things behind her that caught my eye.
"Jin Sakai. I have things to offer you. First is the official Demon Slayer Corp uniform. Lightweight clothing is made from a material that can withstand certain blade strikes and most burns. This uniform is tailored to you. As a Hashira some of those who made it took the liberty to add a few things. Shinobu explained.
She handed the uniform to me and I looked over the clothing design. In the back and started at the Sakai symbol engraved with the kaiju lettering spelling "Ghost Pillar".
"The one who made it said that he recognize the symbol from long ago. And that it was all over you like your armor and the blade." Shinobu informed.
"Thank you. I would like to remember this symbol as is." I remarked.
"Oh and one last thing. I brought you three steel ores to choose from." Shinobu laid out a cloth with three rocks in a row.
"Why three?" I said.
