PREPARATIONS

Person: Everything is ready.

Kaka: Very good. Then we will start our work. Bihariiiii! come here

Bihari : Yes Malik.

Kaka: Bihari start to decorate the haveli.

Bihari: Why Malik?

Kaka: For engagement ceremony.

Bihari: Whose engagement Malik?

Kaka: Arey my buddhu Bihari! For Anirudh's engagement!

Bihari smacked his own head and ran inside the house to start the preparation.

The person is a goldsmith, he had made the engagement rings as Binoy had ordered them earlier.

Anirudh returned home after completing his works. The preparations were on full swing. Anirudh asked Kaka, the reason for the decorations.

Kaka: Arey it's your engagement which we are going to celebrate, but you are standing like this?

Anirudh: But Kaka you didn't inform me about this.

Kaka: Arey buddhu Anirudh.  Where were you lost when we fixed you engagement date? You were sitting with us only na?

Anirudh: But there is one week time for it  Kaka .

Kaka: Oh God! Are you seeing the English calander or Indian calander?

Anirudh: English calander.

Kaka: We fixed your engagement date based on Indian calander .

Anirudh understood everything now and realized that there were only four days left for their engagement.

Anirudh: Then Kaka does Bondita and Sumati ma know this?

Kaka: How will they not know? I have sent a motor gadi to bring them here. They will come by today evening.

Anirudh:  Oh!(his face got brightened)

Kaka:  They will stay in our other haveli till engagement gets over. And one more thing you should not meet bahu alone. Understood?

Anirudh nodded his head and headed towards his room. Batuk who heard their conversation exclaimed in joy. He was very happy because his boudi was coming to their home.

It was evening, Bondita and Sumati ma had  arrived at Tulsipur. Anirudh, Batuk and Som went there and helped them to get settled.

Anirudh: Ma if you want anything call me or Som. We will help you.

Sumati: Yes Jamai babu.

Anirudh: Then ma we will leave. Bye Bondita.

Bondita was feeling shy. Anirudh went to the door and suddenly turned towards Bondita and winked his eyes. Bondita started to  blush. Som and Anirudh left. Batuk stayed there as he wanted to spend time with his boudi.

Saudamini saw the decoration works going on in Rc haveli . She went there.

Kaka: Arey Saudamini beta come come!

Saudamini: Kaka what celebration is going on? You have not even informed me?

Kaka: Arey beta did you forget ? Day before yesterday I gave your father the invitation for Anirudh's engagement.

Saudamini was shocked.

Saudamini: Oh Kaka I forgot.  Where is the bride? I want to see her.

Kaka: They are staying in our other haveli.

Saudamini: Ok Kaka.  Then I will go and meet her.

Saudamini went to meet Bondita.  As soon as she entered the haveli she saw Batuk giggling and playing with Bondita. She was astonished to see such a beauty.  She thought how could she be this beautiful even in this simple attire. Then she was shocked to see Batuk playing with her. Because Batuk never used to  pay heed to her. Batuk frowned as soon as he saw Saudamini. Bondita saw Saudamini and welcomed her. Saudamini gave a fake smile and went near them.

Saudamini: So you are Anirudh's fiancee?

Bondita: Yes. May I know who are you ?

Saudamini: I am Anirudh's....

Before she could say something Batuk said

Batuk: She is a witch.

Saudamini got irritated.

Bondita: Batuk is this the way to talk with your elders? Ask sorry to her

Batuk: But boudi.... I am Sorry Saudamini didi.

Bondita after hearing her name recognized that she was the girl on telephone that day.

Bondita: Oh so you are barrister babu 's friend Saudamini?

Saudamini: Yes how do you know.

Bondita: Barrister babu told me about you. You are looking soooo beautiful.

Saudamini: Thank you. Even you are looking soooo beautiful.

Batuk: Yes my boudi is very beautiful and very kind hearted.

Bondita: You tooo look soooo cute

And took him in her arms and pecked on his cheeks. Batuk giggled and gave a peck on her cheeks.
Saudamini was irritated to see their bond.  She gave a fake smile and left from there. Batuk was playing with Bondita and Bondita made Batuk eat food.

Someone: Shall we come in Bondita?

Bondita was happy seeing them.
