White, that was all I saw. Opening my eyes wider, I realized I was no longer on the mossy ground of Nowhere, I was Somewhere. "Hello," I called, nothing. I looked around, all I saw was a blur of faces and people, all mushed together in a big clump.
I felt like I was floating, my wavy, blond hair flowing out behind me. I stopped at a mirror, my round, green eyes and pale skin glowing, looking slightly disorented.
"The hall of memories," a voice said. I looked around, but no one, besides the blur of faces, was there.
"Who's there?" I asked, confused.
"Hush child," the voice said soothingly, " Everything will explain itself soon."
"Where am I?"
"Your at the place, deep in Somewhere, where you go to stop time." I nodded slightly.
I know where I am, I thought. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. "Okay," I said "Okay, I'm read to go back.
"As you wish," the voice said. I closed my eyes and there was a screeching noise, like nails on a chalkboard and when I opened my eyes again, I was in Nowhere. Instead of feeling scared, I felt calm and tranquil, not afraid of the creatures here.
I closed my eyes again, this time imagining my happy place, where nothing from Nowhere could hurt me.
My lips tugged into a smile and I opened my eyes, in front of me was Somewhere. I reached out, and just as a claw from a Nowhere creature tried to grab me, I transported. finally I was there, I was in Somewhere.
Looking around, I realized that I was somewhere new. Never had I touched the soft, green grass on my toes as I do now. It was a grove of trees, like the ones from Nowhere, but so much more beautiful, joyous and alive. A bird chirped on a tree branch, singing it's sweet melody. I giggled and began to run, wind swirling around me. I danced, weaving throught the trees until I came upon a meadow. There were brightly colored flowers if all kinds, lilies, daffodils, butter cups, snap dragons, pansies, and so many more! I swirled around, hair whipping around my face, laughing. I was so happy, out of Nowhere, into Somewhere. It is beautiful here, I thought, smiling. When suddenly I heard a voice say,
"Where am I?" I looked around for the voice and when I couldn't find who it was, I said,
"You are in Somewhere."
"Somewhere? That's a strange name for a place."
"Better than Nowhere, I suppose."
"Nowhere? Where's that?"
"I can't really explain, but it is a horrible place, filled with horrible creatures."
"Are there any horrible creatures in Somewhere?"
"None."
"Then I might as well come out." Then she stepped out, she had pale blue eyes, long, straight, blonde hair, and lots of freckles. "My name is Mabel. What's yours?"
"Mine is Everleigh." I smiled at her, she smiled back. "What are you doing here?" I asked, "I mean, your in my daydream."
"What?" She said, "I thought we were in Somewhere?"
"We are," I said, "People's daydreams are in somewhere."
"So, nightmares are in Nowhere?"
"Yes, I can explain if you want."
"Sure," she said. So we both sat down in the meadow and u began to explain.
"So, let's start with explanations. I am a Dreamer, a Dreamer is a magical being who can turn imagination into reality. So whatever I thing, it can come true. Nowhere is the place where all Dreamer's nightmares go. They all mix together and boil into hideous creatures. Dreamers can get trapped there when they are upset. Somewhere is a place you go when you are happy, a place where imagination, the good part, is swelling." I stopped for a minute to breath, then continued, "With me, however, I try really hard to not be found out, because if we use to much magic, the creatures of Nowhere can get us. Its happened to my mother, grandmother, great grandmother and on and on. Just this morning, I had an overflow of magic, and I was so distraught I went to Nowhere. Now, why are you here? Are you a Dreamer too?" I finnished.
"I... I don't know. I'm not even sure who I am, I only know my name, really." She stuttered, looking frightened. I put my hand on her shoulder and said to her sweetly,
"Is ok, but I will do my best to help you get your mind back. I have a feeling you are a Dreamer though."
"Why?"
"Because if a Dreamer gets caught by a creature from Nowhere, their mind is stolen."
"Wha-" Mabel started, but was cut of by someone screaming. "What was that?!"
"Not a creature," I said, "Someone must be hurt." We then sprinted off towards the noise.
