Romano's Pov
"Did my daughter receive the pendant I sent her?" I asked one of my men that I had given charge of the task.
"Yes sir."
"You knew where she was all this time and instead of having her killed you send her a pendant Romano?!" My wife bellowed at me.
"What the fuck do you want woman?" Her hatred for my daughter was one that could slice through a thick concrete wall.
Her constant nagging was pushing me over the edge but before she pushes me to the edge I'll make sure to take her out for good.
She had managed to kill Emelia's mother and was adamant on killing Emelia as well. Her greed for revenge and power was what fueled this woman.
"Why didn't you just have her killed instead?"
"Why are you so determined on having her killed woman? She's no longer in your way of power?"
"How long have you known she was not dead? It is because of her half your men is wiped out yet you still let this pitiful creature live?"
"And how do you know it was Emelia who did it? Could she have known we were going to invade that exact date woman?"
"Obviously she had regained her memories Romano." Susanna ranted on.
"Even if she had regained her memories Emelia would've had no way in knowing when we were invading."
"You have so many excuses for that wretched girl! How do you know she won't tell anyone what you've ever done her. She will use it to her advantage."
"I have better plans for my dear Emelia who's now Lydia. She's pregnant. Infact she's pregnant for the Bianchi's. If I can get my hands on her also then she can confess everything she knows about the Bianchi's."
"What?! How is this possible? She must've bewitched those dogs as her mother did with every man she came across. Forget about wasting your time in kidnapping her and have her killed instead for giving out our information!"
"Getting her heir would be a turnaround for us and getting information about those Bianchi's would be a bonus."
"What do you mean Romano?" Susanna acted dumb.
"It's exactly what I mean woman."
"It is because of her why we're now hiding. She gave out our secrets. We're on the brink of demise. Obviously, we need to hide and recruit more men. If the Bianchi locates us were dead!"
"There's no need for us to use that useless child as leverage Romano. We've never been this heavily affected before. We have least than twenty percent of men remaining."
"Your obsession with that thing for a daughter has confused you to the point you don't even see that we're not the king of the underground anymore. Valentino and his brother have confiscated almost fifty percent of our drugs and illegal activities. There closing in on us at every point necessary. They just need to proclaim themselves has king. Get off your daughter for once!"
"No longer will the Ricci or the De Luca mafia help us because they fear the Bianchi. They're gathering more allies while we scramble for what's left and stuck in this disgusting filth called a house. I should've killed that bitch with my bare hands when I had the opportunity to!" Susanna finally shut the fuck up.
"Obviously I can see that were on the brink of demise! And if your daughters were smart enough then getting me this leverage that Emelia has done would've made them a more fitting reign but obviously there useless like their mother! My only regret is that I didn't have them caged instead of Emelia!"
"Father!" My spoiled daughters Viola and Violet shouted.
"How dare you compare that filth with your own daughters?! We all know you only care about the fact that this child may be a boy and could ultimately filled the void of a leader soon! Admit it Romano. Blood ties connected to the Bianchi's and Romano's is like nothing everyone would've ever imagined before. You would just love to have your hands on it wouldn't you?"
"No matter what my daughter's will never be enough for you." Susanna spat.
"We have done everything you have ever asked including seducing men to get business deals, fortunes, information's, father I'm getting married to the Ricci's to strengthen our ties for you and yet it's still not enough!" Violet yelled.
"Have you forgotten the Ricci mafia has cut all ties with us. You couldn't even keep a fucking man." I seethed at her.
"Father, they cut all ties with us because of our dramatic demise in men, associations and allies. We lack leadership and that's why they did it. Ever since Emelia left you've been remorseful and making stupid decisions." Viola spoke.
"Shut up you stupid girl! Emelia managed to keep a high ranked such as Valentino and now she's pregnant. Something that you useless girls couldn't do."
"Emelia again?!" Susanna yelled frustrated.
"Violet, Viola. Follow me. If you don't take heed Romano and try to make things right, then I'll be forced to leave and take my daughter's along with me. You can stay here and suffer by yourself in this pit of hell!" She shouted before pulling my daughters along.
I'd surely kill her before she could take my daughter's away from me, and I did just that.
I waited until she fell asleep two hours later as I deemed it was time to carry out my plan.
I stood over my dear wife with nothing but vengeance. I did so much for this damn woman and yet she was still not satisfied.
I gave up my own daughter to one of the most dangerous mafia men, yet she was not satisfied.
And now here she was plotting behind my back to take my daughter's away from me. If only she had a boy everything would've been perfect, but I had two useless and greedy daughters I needed if I ever wanted my mafia and legacy to survive.
"Romano?" Her once sultry voice rang out in my ear as she turned within her sleep.
Lifting the rope in my hand, I quickly placed it around her neck strangling her before she even had time to comprehend what I was doing.
I watched as her lifeless body dropped on the bed. Twenty-four years of marriage and while killing her I felt nothing.
I remembered when I married her. She was as ruthless as I was and vile. She cared only about being on the top and now here she was.
Lifeless.
There could've been plenty of ways that I could've killed her, but I choose to strangle her. She had managed to kill Emelia's mother now they could both meet again.
I'm sure letting my dear daughters know that their mother had ran away wouldn't seem so much of a lie seeing as though they were as dumb as their own mother.
Now I won't have a problem with getting my hand on that Bianchi heir. It was not only theirs but mine as well.
