Sudden Breakfast

Bruno came out of his tower, dusting the sand off his clothes.

He walks down the stairs, to the kitchen."Mornin' Julieta..." He said as he put his head on her shoulder.

"Morning Bruno, I'm almost done, go get cleaned up." She lightly slapped his face, as he groaned. He moved away from her and headed to the restroom, passing Delores.

"I heard you and Y/N last night. It sounded fun. Hm!" And with that, she walked away, leaving a stunned Bruno to wash his face.

After getting ready for the day, he left the restroom and went outside, sitting at his spot at the table. The family started to eat.

"Delores, is she here yet?" Asked Abuela.

The girl put her hands on her ears. "Down the road. Should be here in a few seconds."

"Sorry! Am I late?!" Bruno looked over to see Y/n running to the table.

"What? Why are you here, amor?" He asked, shock in his tone.

"Didn't you ask me to come? I got a letter this morning on my door." She responded after catching her breath, sitting in a seat that was suspiciously free next to him.

"I called," Abuela started this caused a glance to her from Bruno. "I wanted to have a talk-"

Bruno gasped, knowing what would happen next.

"about your marriage."

Your mouth widened, Marriage? You haven't been here a week and marriage?!

"I'm sorry... With all due respect I don't want to get married. At all." You say, with a bit of tang in your voice. "I just... I want to take it slow. I don't want to jump into a commitment that I can't see through. I love Bruno- I do. But I don't know if this is forever. Not yet."

You look down, embarrassed with your statement. Ashamed of all the pressure the family was putting on you. A hand slowly moved into yours.

"Mamá. I think... I want this too. I don't know what's going to happen in the future- I mean I do- but you know what I mean! Even if we are forever- forever doesn't have to come so fast." He said, slightly looking over at you.

You gripped his hands tighter and smiled at him, feeling his cold ring in your finger. He looked back at you. His eyes staring deep into your soul. Sobbing could be heard.

"That's so sweet!" Yelled Felix, you smiled at the man.

"I want love like that!" Spoke from a sobbing Louisa. Mirabel patted her back.

"I understand, just letting you know, marriage is always on the table for my son." She spoke, eating the food on her plate.

"I understand, actually I appreciate the meal, but after yesterday I got a lot of people asking me for entertainment hehehe... I'll be seeing you!"

You stood up, pushing your chair back into its original place. You turned to run off, when you stopped. You turned back to see Bruno looking up at you.

You held his face and kissed his head, whispering in his ear "Meet me in the spot we were at yesterday- at eight." You spoke and pulled away, giving one last kiss.

You speed off down the path again leaving him alone with a red stain on his head and cheek. Stunned, he looks up at his family, who were laughing and giggling at him, his face red with blush.
