You both sat their for a while, Staying in each other's embrace. You haven't been held like this before, not by anyone. Not even your father.

As soon as you got comfortable, blush started to creep up your face. You couldn't do it. He was so warm, he smelled like wood and flowers. You couldn't help but snuggle in deeper.

"Geez... Your so cold. What were you doing out here like this? I mean I know what you were doing but still." He held you closer.

"O-oh... After I got into an argument with my mom I just left. I didn't even take a coat. I guess I spaced out where I was going Because I ended up ankle deep in that river over there.... Sorry for holding on so long."

"It's okay. I don't mind. As long as your stop crying." He wiped the tears from your eyes.

You nodded and held him closer. Your heart was beating out of your chest.

"Hey Bruno...?"

"Yes?"

"Can you... Finish my fortune? I want to see who my mother was making such a big fuss about." You pulled away, looking up at him, still interlocked in his arms.

"Ah... I don't know... I always make bad things happen and if you see something your don't like... You'll hate me too." He green man sulked. He looked like a kicked dog. You couldn't help but laugh.

"Why would I hate you if something doesn't go my way? Your doing this for free aren't you? I should just be grateful that your not inflating your prices!" The mans sad face turned into a gleeful smile.

"No one has ever said that to me. Yeah... I could do it. I could finish your vision."

You smiled up at him again. "Really?! Thank you so much Bruno!" You hugged him more as you buried your face in his chest. He seemed a bit taken aback but let you do it. His sent was deep and woody. You couldn't help but want more.

Your body started to shake. It was to cold out and your frail, city body couldn't take it. You sneezed, causing Bruno to look at you. He took his hand and set it on your head. His it was warm and still extremely soft.

"Your freezing... Do you mind if I take you to my house? I could warm you up and... We can do your vision when we get there." He asked with consideration, not wanting to make you feel uncomfortable.

You nodded "Yeah, that would be nice..."

The man stood up and held out his hand to you. Your face flushed as you took it. He started to take you like a child down a path.

"You do this so nonchalantly. You don't ever feel... Embarrassed?" You looked at the man and he titled his head a bit.

"What do you mean?"

"I mean... Grabbing my hand... I'm a woman too you know..." You blushed more and his face turned red as he loosened his grip

"I-Im sorry. I have a bunch of nieces and nephews so I just thought- it's no excuse- I'm sorry..." He fumbled on his words, trying to find the right ones to say. You cut him off.

"It's fine! Promise. I just wanted to know." You held his hand tighter to compensate for his lose grip.

".....I-I do find it a little embarrassing. But nothing to serious.... Yet...." He griped your hand back and looked straight ahead. You can't what his face looks like but his ears are bright red.

His silence wasn't uncomfortable as you walked, like wind blowing on an open field. You took it all in as he suddenly came to a stop. You looked around and you were back at the Madrigal house.

"Hey Casita, is anyone up yet?" The door put you a few tiles to looked like an X. It seems no one it up yet.

"Thanks Casita, I must say, you look really good in that color." The house blushed (?) as Bruno opened up the door for you. "Come on in Y/N"

The house looked the same like it did earlier, just more desolate and quiet.

"My room it up this way." Bruno started to shuffle about the house, not wanting to make a sound. You did the same, following along.

"Here! My face is on the door." He pointed to a room and it did have his face on it. "Careful, it's sandy."

He opened the door, letting you in. It felt like you stepped into another world. Sand covered your head as you stepped in, feet first into a hugs floor of sand. You wiggled your toes as you walked around. The stairs cover the walls up, so high you could berily see the top.

"This place is huge! Where does the top go?!" You shouted like a kid in a candy store, Bruno laughed at your actions and walked next to you. "That's where I do my fortune telling, but I have a door right under the stairs for my bed.... Sorry you have to walk up all those stairs"

"It's fine, it's free after all. Plus, I'd like to get to know you more." You started to walk up the stairs, the stone felt cold on your feet. Bruno followed.

"When you said Bruno makes bad things happen... What did you mean by that?"

"Ah jeez... Before you came around I was an outcast. My prophecies we're nothing that anyone would want to hear. They called me a curse. My Mamá said I wasn't helping the community, so I should just stay out of the way." He sighed.

"After my niece Maribel's gift ceremony went wrong, my mama said to look into her future. The prophecy wasn't good either, but I knew what they would think because Bruno is evil and he makes bad things happen! So I ran away. I went into hiding untill I realized that I couldn't hide anymore. So I took charge and now I'm back in the house. I love my family, but couldn't bear to be sitting on the sidelines while bad things happen to them."

"Wow. We have alot in common." You looked back on the steps and smiled at him
"I just... Can't go back."

"If you give your all to them and they don't accept you, then they aren't your family, their the people who raised you. Who needs them!" He yelled. He was really bad at trying to cheer someone up but you couldn't help but yell too.

"Who needs them!" You both laughed.

"Don't worry Y/N. I'm your family now, and I'll never- NEVER abandon you." He bumped his fist onto your arm and you chuckled.

You walked along a small bridge to a room that looked like it came straight from an abandoned temple. He opened up a round circle door and took you into a room covered in sand. "Sit down here."

You sat down Infront of a small rock and so did he. He set out some sage and started to light them on fire. He crossed his legs and closed his eyes.

The ritual has begun.
