Jean's pov

After taking down a perp he immediately asked for a name... I thought it was strange plus shouldn't the military police handle this and not the survey corps but he asked me for my name, I gave it to him... His eyes widened with tears coming out.

He said sobbing, "my son, my son talks about U a lot and U mean so much to him."

He gave me his home address and before he was taken away by 2 military police officers he said to me, "the reason U believe he is dead is that he knows the identity of the colossal and Armoured titan, he had to protect himself from them and so... He faked his death."

I tried to get his name but the military police wouldn't let me, I went to talk to Erwin about the interaction.

He said in a content voice, "alright we'll look into it."

I smiled warmly but those words that the man said will never leave me.

-time skip-

It was 11 pm with a full moon, everyone was asleep and so I decided to sneak off, just to look at that address the man gave.

I walked to the stables and got my horse and galloped all the way there, many thoughts were running through my head. What if I get caught? What if it's too dangerous to go there by myself? What am I expecting?

Eventually, I came across it in the wall Sina district, the fencing was not made of bricks, metal or wood. It had a glass-like texture to it. It kinda glowed in the moonlight, so I looked further and saw a huge, not huge, enormous, not enormous, but colossal sized house. It was far away at least 40 metres away from the fencing. It wasn't made out of the usual house building material.

Perhaps the same material as the fencing, I noticed on the porch a boy with black hair, I was too far away to get his face But I heard a sweet woman's voice.

She said. "Mars darling, it's a bit late to be our here come on in you gonna catch a cold"

He said in a voice I can just hear, "ok mother"

And I saw him go inside... Is that the kid that man was talking about? I'd be lying if I said the voice didn't sound familiar, unfortunately, I couldn't put my finger on where I heard that voice from.

So I got on my horse and rode back to the barracks.

The next day, I woke up and Erwin said that we have a search warrant on the place and that we'll be going there today.

I said shamefully, "I went there last night, and all I can say is the house and the fencing is not the usual materials you would use house and fence."

Levi asked in his usual bratty tone, "so Jean can U elaborate?"

I continued, "yes, it had a glass-like texture to it and the fence glowed under the moonlight. The house itself was quite the distance away from the fence, but it was huge the length would've been longer than the colossal titan itself."

My friends started muttering about it.

Erwin said to them in a strong voice "enough soldiers. Now go and get ur horses ready."
