Kevin the minion walked home from Gru's lab alone, the cold wind blowing in his three strands of black hair atop of his head. His denim overalls were partially ripped and covered in oil stains from his hard day of work at the lab. He felt empty, as he had nothing to look forward to as he got home besides going to sleep to return back to the lab the next day.
Kevin's mind was racing, only thinking about possible solutions to his tasks at the lab. Gru and Dr. Nefario had formulated a plan to build spaceship to take them to a new planet they have discovered, nicknamed Planet Bananananner. Kevin is an aerospace engineer, and he has the major responsibility of being the head of the engineer crew. Every one of his waking hours is dedicated to his work, as he takes a lot of pride in what he does.
Lost in his thoughts and not paying attention, Kevin slips on a banana peel dropped by another minion who has walked on the path before him. Kevin falls hard on the concrete, hitting his head as he reaches the ground.
"Hey there" says a deep dreamy voice, "Wake up."
Kevin opens his eyes, his head spinning, his eyes squinting from the bright sun. He looks up, and sees the silhouette of a short stocky figure looking at him from above.
"Oh phew, you're awake now", the figure says as he breathes a sigh of relief "Are you alright? What happened?"
The clouds in the sky perfectly part to let the sun shine down at the figure standing above Kevin. As soon as Kevin sees who is with him, his heart starts racing faster than a Nascar driver. A classy looking baby looks down at him with a friendly but smug expression on his face. The sun perfectly highlighted his golden blond hair, smoothly slicked back. The baby wore a perfectly fitted black suit, and carried a briefcase with him.
Kevin snaps back to reality, noticing the baby's hand reached out, offering to help him up. Kevin grabs his hand, and it feels like the world stopped and everything is frozen in time. He gets up from the ground and brushes himself off, wondering what had just happened. Have I just experienced love at first sight?
"Your face is so red right now, what happened to you?", The handsome baby asks.
"I- I- I slipped and fell on this banana peel, and- and the next thing I new I awoke on the ground." Kevin stuttered.
"Lets get you to the hospital, you might have had a concussion. I'll call a taxi for us."
"Al- Alright", Kevin agrees, "How long was I out for?"
"At least ten minutes. I saw you sprawled out on the sidewalk as I was walking to my next meeting, and came over to check on you. I was so worried, I thought you weren't going to wake up!"
"Thank you so much for waiting for me!" This busy man stopped in the middle of his day just to wait for me? How can someone be so perfect...
"Oh!", the business man baby interjects, "Look at you, you're head is bleeding."
Kevin quickly reaches his hand to the back of his head. He rubs his hand on the spot he fell on, and winced as he felt a sharp pain. He looks down at his hand in surprise, seeing it covered in his blood.
"Don't worry," the baby says comfortingly as he unties his tie from his neck. The quick-thinking baby ties his tie around Kevin's head, covering the wound to stop the bleeding.
Kevin's heart flutters as he stands there, enamored in the businessman taking care of him.
"Oh, our taxi's here", the baby says as he grabs Kevin's hand, leading him to the car parked in front of them. Kevin stumbles behind him, blushing as they got into the backseat of the car together.
