Now in the taxi together, Boss Baby and Kevin are on their way to the ER. After the long day of events, Kevin sighs and relaxes his tense muscles as he settles down for the ride. He daydreams as he watches the peaceful sunset out the window, slowly drifting off to sleep. As he sinks into the soft car seat, Kevin's head falls onto a comfortable shoulder next to him.
Boss Baby's heart starts beating quickly and he begins to sweat, as he hasn't made physical contact with anyone like this in years. Not knowing why, he lets Kevin continue to sleep on his shoulder. Boss Baby usually wouldn't do this with someone else, but he wants to make sure Kevin rests well so he can heal from his injuries.
Kevin's long head slips down onto his companion's chest, and Boss Baby softly lifts it back up onto his shoulder, making sure not to wake the sleeping beauty. Kevin stirs a little and a slight grin appears on his face as he breathes a sigh of relief. Boss Baby looks down at Kevin again and adjusts the tie wrapped around his wounds with great care, and notices Kevin's yellow face turning red. The now seemingly affectionate baby puts his arm around Kevin for a second to keep him warm, but realizes what he is doing and quickly removes it so he doesn't make Kevin uncomfortable.
The taxi driver, laughing as he watches this unfold through the mirror, asks "Hey man what's the story here? Are you guys like boyfriends or somethin'?"
Boss Baby's face gets flushed and he stammers "N- no we just met, he got injured and I'm taking him to the hospital to make sure he's alright."
"Well you boys sure seem close to be acquaintances who've just met, don't ya'?"
Boss Baby, not sure what to answer to this, keeps silent and checks his watch. The taxi driver chuckles to himself and pulls up in front of the hospital.
"Hey gay lovers, we're here. Wake up."
Kevin opened his eyes and realizes that he was leaning on Boss Baby's shoulder. His eyes go wide and he blushes as he mutters "Oh.. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to invade your personal space like that, sir."
Boss Baby smirks and answers "No need to call me sir. You can call me Baby."
The taxi driver interjects, "Now stop flirting, you two. We are here at the hospital, get out before I get a fine for not paying for parking yet."
Boss Baby pulls out his wallet and pays the taxi driver, leaving a generous tip. The driver thanks him and pulls away, leaving Boss Baby and Kevin alone together on the curb in front of the hospital.
Kevin looks down at Boss Baby and says "Thank you so much sir! But how will I pay you back? You can have my number and I will Venmo you once I get home, alright?"
The baby nonchalantly answers, "Don't worry about it, no need to pay me back. I'll take your number though, in case there's another emergency." He winks and starts walking into the hospital with Kevin behind him. The minion can't hide his smile, so he looks away so Boss Baby can't see how flustered he is.
