Chapter Six

(Jia's POV)

Morning came at nagising nalang ako na wala na siya sa tabi ko. Mukhang mas maaga na namang nagising.

I got up from the bed and went to the bathroom to wash up. I brought all my necessities kaya hindi ako worried na wala akong masuot mamaya sa exam.

After washing up and wearing my new shirt and pair of jeans, dumiretso na agad ako sa baba para i-check kung nandyan pa siya. Kasi kung wala eh e-lo-lock ko nalang yung bahay at aalis at sa Uni na magbe-breakfast.

May One hour pa naman ako pero ayoko namang magtagal dito kung wala siya.

Dumiretso ako ng lakad sa kusina nang marinig ang umaandar na blender. Sinilip ko kung siya nga at muntik pa ako matumba sa gulat nang makita si Hobi sa kusina.

“Ay jusmiyo naman!” I shouted.

(A/n: gulat na gulat?)

Nagulat rin siya kaya nabuhos niya sa labas ng baso yung juice na galing sa blender.

Sino naman ang di magugulat eh wala siyang damit pang-itaas. Dali-dali ko namang pinikit ang mata ko at tumalikod.

“You scared me Jia!” he complained. May narinig naman akong mga hakbang sa likod ko at mukhang nililinisan na niya ang nasayang na juice sa counter.

“Sorry! I didn't mean to scare you! Besides I am the one who must be scared here! You're wearing nothing on top, what am I supposed to react on that?!” I responded, still facing my back on him.

“Oh!” sabi niya at mukhang natauhan.

Tumahimik sandali ang kusina bago siya nagsalita ulit.

“Okay done, I wore my shirt back. You can face me now...” he said, chuckling.

“You sure?” I asked.

“Yeah! Come on...  I made pancakes!”

As soon as I heard the pancakes, I immediately turned around and went to his direction. Hobi is smiling at me again and joining me for breakfast.

We talked a bit and he decided to drop me off to our Uni before going to their company.

“Good luck on your exam!” he smiled and pinched my cheeks. I then started unlocking the seatbelt on his car. I didn't mind it cause I know he's just doing this because we're friends.

Kakapark lang niya sa harap ng Uni kaya papaalis na rin ako.

I smiled at him before speaking. “Don't worry, I will do my best oppa!” I cheered and make a fist in the air.

He made a fist too and cheered me.

“Pass your exams so you can get your reward!” he said again and now he's holding both my cheeks.

He keeps squeezing me and I can feel that my lips are pouting. I tried to speak but can't so I just giggled.

My heart's beating so fast again. I can feel the heat coming out from my cheeks.

“Y-yes and once I passed, you will treat me a meal!” I said before cupping his cheeks too.

We're now both squeezing each other's cheeks inside the car. Nasa ganoong posisyon lang kami bago ko narinig ang alarm ng cellphone ko. It means 20 minutes nalang magsisimula na ang exam.
