They always look at me...It's not like I'm going to break and tell them about what today is...screw it they know what today is. I looked out the window of the hotel room. Maybe I should go for a walk along the beach...get my mind off of things
"What you thinking about?" Someone said
I turned around to see Rydel smiling from ear to ear.
"Going for a walk on the beach...if you like you can join me" I replied
"Sounds like fun!" Rydel answered
I nodded my head as I got my phone off the table. We walked out of the room and I noticed something when we were half way down the hall.
"How did you get into the room...only Ross and I have the key" I mentioned
"You see...I took it from Ross" She replied with a smile
I rolled my eyes as we got out side. I heard the laughter of childern filling the air. I smiled as we got closer and closer to the beach. What are they going to do? I mean it's not like they will get me to say it....
"You alright? You really haven't been talking, May" Rydel said
I looked at her and then at the ground were I dug my feet into the sand.
"I'm fine...just still can't believed what happened yesterday" I replied
"I know, it's sad to think that"
I smiled at her as we got closer to the water. The waves just hitting our ankles.
"You know" Rydel started to say
I looked at her. She smiled and let out a laugh
"Ross is really happy to be with you" Rydel said
I smiled as I looked at the waves.
"I wouldn't say we are um...properly together" I replied
She looked at me worried. I laughed and then pushed her into the water.
"Really?! you're dead meat May!" Rydel screamed
I laughed and ran away from the water. She tackled me to the ground and I pushed her off.
"Now I got sand in places it shouldn't be" I said while laughing
"That's waht you get for pushing me into the water" Rydel replied
We both started to laugh like crazy and I hear someone call our names.We both look back and see the guys walking over. I waved them over. Ross threw a towl at me and Ratliff threw a towl at Rydel.
"Thanks guys" Rydel and I said in unison
"So what happened?" Riker asked sitting down on different towl
The others sat down next to him while Rydel and I sat across from him.
"Well we were having a nice conversation until, someone thought it would be funny to push me into the water and now I'm soaking wet!" Rydel screamed
"Well at least you don't have sand in places it shouldn't be" I replied
We looked at each other and couldn't keep a serious face. We started to laugh and the others looked at us funny.
"Oh and Ross guess what May said" Rydel said
"What?" Ross questioned
"She said you two aren't "properly" going out"
Ross looked at me and I glared at Rydel.
"What?" Ross asked
"We haven't gone a date yet Ross" I replied
He looked at me and a smile grew on his face.
"Fine, tonight...we'll go on a date" Ross said
"What about beach day?" Rocky asked
"We'll do beach day tomorrow!"
We all smiled and Ratliff went to go build a sand castle. It was well...really bad
"No comment" I said
Ratliff looked at me and picked me up over his shoulder.
"RATLIFF PUT ME DOWN!" I yelled
He continued to walk and started to laugh. He walked me all the way to the ice cream palor...thank go it wasn't into the water. The others met us there as we just sat down and ate ice cream.
"We're going shopping!" Rydel yelled
I looked at her confused with the spoon in my mouth. She grabbed my arm and dragged me out of the shop.
"I'm still eating!" I yelled
"Yes...but you need something nice to wear for tonight" Rydel said while winking
I rolled my eyes as I let her drag me into the first store.
