28. Surprise Party

*Ross's POV*

We finally arrived home after our long flight. Now for the rest of my birthday I would like to relax for a little then celebrate. I went in my pocket to grab out my keys as May stood behind me waiting to get into the house. I placed my key into the doorknob and turned it. I walked inside and turned on the lights. I looked up.

"SURPRISE!!!" A bunch of people screamed

I stared at them in shock. Also startled they scared the crap out of me. I smiled when I saw all the decorations and my friends. My mom ran up to me and hugged me.

"Happy birthday Ross!" She said

"Thanks mom" I replied and hugged her back

I looked at everyone else and went to go say my hellos. My brothers took my bags to my room and May followed them. She came back down wearing a beautiful grey sundress that looked amazing on her. I smiled as I stared at her. She walked over to me and smiled. Her hair was braided to the side and out of her face. I smiled, Rydel must of fixed her hair. There are a lot of people hear. We all went to go eat and of course continue to celebrate. I looked around and saw that everyone was having the time of their life. I looked at May and saw her laughing with Rocky. I'm so lucky to have her in my life. She's so amazing.

"How surprised were you?" Laura asked

"Pretty surprised. I should have known something was up when May woke up before me" I replied

"She almost gave it away?!"

"No really, I didn't think that anything happened because I thought she probably just didn't want to be late. She doesn't like being late" 

Raini and Calum walked over and smiled at me. 

"Having fun right?" Calum asked

"Yeah, I am" I replied

"You know your family and May put this all together" Raini said

"I figured that much. It's one amazing party"

I looked over at May again. I looked at my family and then back at them. They started to push we toward the crowd of people so I can talk with them too. We started talking about different things. People asking about how's Austin and Ally going, how's R5 been doing, and of course about May and I. Which May would always end up blushing to. She's so cute I swear. I placed my arms around her waist and pulled her back closer to mine. I smiled as I kissed her cheek.

"Thank you" I whispered in her ear as I hugged her tightly

I felt her place her left hand on mine and her right hand on my head. I smiled and closed my eyes as my forehead rested on her right shoulder.

"Any time Ross. I hope you're enjoying yourself" May said

"Of course I am. This is an amazing party" I laughed

I let go of her and she smiled at me. My dad walked inside again and looked at all of us.

"Outside is ready now. Come on guys" He said

I stared at him confused and looked at May. She intertwined our fingers together and guided me to the back yard. I looked outside to see tiki torches lite,  paper lights hanging around, enough chairs for everyone to sit on, and a bonfire right in the middle. There where drinks and food set out on tables. I looked down at May and she smiled at the scene in front of her.

"Much better then I hoped for" May said and looked at me, "What do you think?"

"I love it" I replied

We walked over to a chair and I had her sit on my lap. Everyone sat around the bonfire. Some people were roasting marshmallows while others were eating burgers. Riker came outside with the acoustic guitar and smiled.

"So who wants to sing first?"  Riker said

"Laura!" Raini laughed

"Oh no it's ok" Laura replied

Everyone started chanting her name and she raised her hands up in defeat. She agreed to sing for everyone and Riker started to strum the guitar. She sang one of her songs and we all smiled. After it was May's turn. I begged her to sing. Which she only agreed to because it's my birthday. She started to sing Shut Up and Dance by Walk The Moon. I smiled at her as she sang and everyone joined along with her. I sang All of Me by John Legend never taking my eyes off of May. We continued in a circle as everyone sang one by one. We all sang together for some songs too. 

As the sun started to set my parents thought it would be the best time for cake. Which I was happy to agree to. I went behind the table as I see this big cake on it. Written in blue letters says "happy birthday Ross!". I smiled and looked at everyone. They all started to sing happy birthday while I saw May video tapping and my Dad taking pictures. I smiled at everyone as they continued to sing. Once they finished I blew out the candles on my cake and everyone cheered. I took them off and cut the first piece. My mom walked over to continued cutting the cake. We passed it out to everyone and we ate as we watched the sun set. I smiled staring at the different color sky. 

"Ross we still have another surprise for you but it has to get dark" Rocky said

"really?" I asked

What else could there possibly be? Even at night? The decorations look great if that's what they are talking about. If not then I have to idea what they could be saying. 

"It will be awesome!" May cheers with a smile on her face

"I hope so" I teased as I poked her cheek

She stood up and kissed my cheek grabbing my plate. She went to throw them out and I smiled at her. She looks so pretty in her dress. She always looks so pretty though. I sighed and looked up at the sky. It slowly turned into a black color as the minutes passed on. All of a sudden I heard an explosion and looked up into the sky. It lite up in different colors as more started to follow the first one.

"Fireworks" I said mesmerized by all the ones appearing in the sky

May walked over and sat on my lap. I looked at her then looked up at the sky. I felt a pair of lips on my cheek and felt them burn. I looked at her and she smiled. She leaned in closer to place a kiss on my lips. I smiled into the kiss and leaned into it more.

"Get a room!" Ellington yelled as he threw a paper plate at us. 

I laughed and looked back up at the sky. It's so awesome. 

"Thank you" I said as I looked at May

"It was hard work but I'm glad it turned out like this" May replied

"I love it" 

"I love you"

"I was going to say that"

She smiled and we kissed again.

"I love you too" I said

Hey guys I'm back from a Writer's block! I know it's been a while but I just wanted to let you all know! Also, if you guys don't follow me please do. I don't always like writing Author's notes on chapters or making chapters of one. So follow me to keep updated! Here's the new chapter. 

I have to say sadly this book if coming to an end soon. There's only a couple more chapters left before the official ending.
