CONFUSED!

Back On Track

Zeena's P.O.V

I was laughing uncontrollably for a very long time. So long that my stomach was aching!
"You sound like a dying hyena" Mike said and started laughing as well.
I tried to fit "I know" somewhere between my laughter.
After a while we both stopped laughing and just sat there in silence.
"So what's the last thing you remember before the accident?"
"Well uhmm... My mom and I were on our way to, I don't really remember, and then..." Right there at this very instant I remembered everything. My happiness faded? "A truck was driving in the wrong lane... My mom tried to move out of the way but she lost control of the car and it flipped 3 times... The car caught on fire and I managed to get out but then I hit my head on something..." I was so sad but I couldn't shed a tear. I just sat there staring at I don't know what.

"Mike do you want anything to drink?" Jean asked.
"Not now Jean" He snapped back at her. Jean walked into the room, "What's wrong with Zeena" She said as she snapped her fingers in front of my eyes but I didn't even blink.
"Come out, I'll tell you" Mike said and then walked out of the room with Jean.
"She just remembered how her mom died. She's in a state of shock" He whispered.
"How is she not crying? I would've been dying!"
"She's not the type that cries. The last time I saw her cry was more than 5 years ago."
"Should I go and talk to her?"
"Yeah sure, go ahead..."

"Zeena" She said softly and place her hand on my shoulder. My eyes were starting to get red. "It's okay to cry you know".
"I promised my mom I wouldn't cry if she passed..." I said and then sniffed.
"Is there anything I can do to make you feel better, anything at all?"
"Yeah... A cup of coffee would be great if you don't mind."
"Sure, you can come when you're ready."
"Thank you."

All my memories were coming back slowly but surely. I remember how Mike, Jean and I had a food fight a few years back when we went on holiday. I even remember the day at the hospital and figured our that I did hear right. The doctor said I would never get my memory back. He even said I had some rare type of cancer in my head. Now I know why I'm taking so many pills.

I was lost in thought for quite some time so I decided to get out of the room and face whatever was coming next.
"How're you feeling?" Jean asked and gave me a cup of coffee.
I took a sip of the coffee and said "I feel a bit better now thanks."
"So are you going to tell Serena and Mona that you lost your memory?" Mike asked curiously.
"I'm really not sure... There's just one thing I don't understand."
"And what might that be?"
"Well, when I asked Serena to tell me who I am, she completely changed me. I really don't know why. I know the doctor told her not to tell me anything about my past and that I had to regain my memory on my own but why would she want to change me?"
"I honest don't know. You should ask her if you tell her about your memory. Do you remember what happened before you passed out?"
"Yes, everything starting with Lacy till... Well you know..." I said and started blushing and smiling like crazy.
"So are we like a couple now?"
"I guess... Well I should probably go home now."
"I'll drop you off."
"No, duh... Did you think I was going to walk home" I said and laughed.
"I Reay missed this side of you."
"Oh really now?"
"Definitely" He said and then hugged me.
We carried on talking and talking until we reached my place. I said bye and he left. I knocked on the door. Mona came to open it. "Where's everyone else?" I asked.
"They went shopping..." She said and walked away. I think I should tell her I got my memory back... She's been down ever since I lost it.

Knock knock
"Come" Mona said.
"You not gonna believe what happened today!"
"What?"
"Let me give u a hint... If I could destroy any piece of clothing so it would never exist again, it would be skirts..."
"Those are the exact words that I... Oh my gosh! Zeena! You're, you again!" She shouted and hugged me so tight I could hardly breath. That is the first time I've seen her smile in 6 months. I'm so glad to see her happy again.
"Do you know how much I missed you?" She said.
"I know, I missed me too. There's something I need to tell you..." I told her everything that happened between Mike and I. I told her how much my heart races when I'm near him and how nervous I get when u speak to him.
"NO WAY!" She shouted.
"What?!"
"You're in love with Mike!"
"Well..." Maybe I am, maybe I'm not. I really don't know. I wonder if he feels the same way... "Hmm... I guess so" I said and sighed happily.
"I'm going to break you moment of happiness... Are you going ask Serena why she changed you? You know that's why I've been mad these past few months...."
"I realised that earlier a yes I am going to ask her because I've been hanging out with the people I hate! What time is she coming home?"
"She'll be back in about an hour so we have time to catch up."
Mona and I talked and talked for more than an hour. I didn't even realise that Serena and Miss Gemnay were home.
"It's not usually this noisy... What's going on?" Miss Gemnay asked Serena.
"I don't know. I'll go check" Serena said and walked I to the room.
"Hey! Why you two so... Oh my Gosh Jiyah what are you wearing?"
"Don't Jiyah me" I snapped back.
"Don't talk to me like that!"
"Oh I will! Why the hell did you change me?"
"Oh so you've regained your memory. I'm really sorry. I turned you I to the girl I wanted to be a few years back. I don't know ow what I was thinking. Can you ever forgive me?"
"Of course I can. I'm me again" I said with a smile and hugged her, Mona joined to make it a group hug. "I'm going to leave you two to catch up" Serena said and left the room.

Mona and I spent a few minutes just lying on the bed, starring at the ceiling. "Tomorrow, are you going to school as Jiyah or Zeena?" Mona asked.
"Me, of course!" I said and giggled.
