CONFUSED!

The Perfect Dress

Zeena's P.O.V

TZZ! TZZ! TZZ! TZZ!
"Hello?" I said in my irritated morning voice. I looked at my phone to check the time. 5am!
"Morning gorgeous!" Mike said sounding all excited and full of energy.
"What is up with you and the early morning calls?"
"I'm a morning person."
"Well I'm not! Is there a reason why you had to wake me up?" I said starting to get irritated.
"Sorry miss irritated", he joked, "just wanted to ask if you wanted to go for a movie later..."
"I don't know. I'm going dress shopping today and don't know what time I'll finish, well I think I'll be quick."
"Okay sure! You can go back to sleep now. I love you!"
"I love you too!"

Oh great now I'm awake. This is so uncool. I'm awake at 5am on a Saturday! I decided to get dressed since I was up and went to watch TV. There was nothing good playing so I decided to watch Hunger Games for the tenth time! I loved the Hunger Games. I watched all four of the movies and I read the books. It's so amazing how Katniss and Peeta get married after all that they have been through. After a while my ankle started hurting really badly. It felt like it just broke which was strange because the day it broke, it didn't hurt at all. I couldn't stand and I needed to take medication, "Mona! Serena!" I yelled hoping that one of them would wake up. I waited a while and yelled their names three more times and finally Mona woke up.

"What's wrong?" She asked nervously, a bit scared.
"My ankle is killing me! Please go get my medicine. It's in an orange bottle in my cupboard, the one one the right, third shelf." I know, why keep them in your room if you can just leave it in the kitchen or something? Well, I have to take so much medication. I had to take three before I ate breakfast, before lunch and before supper. There was medication for random head pains as well. These weren't normal headaches. The pain wouldn't go away until I take the medication!
"Here you go" Mona said and handed me a medium sized white pill.
"How do you expect me to swallow this? "
"Oh, right, water" She said and brought me a glass of water and I swallowed the pill.
"You should go get dressed before Serena freaks out. It's almost seven o'clock." I said.

"You two ready to go?" Serena said, standing in the door way.
"Yeah!" We both said at the same time.
"Mona, please go get my crutches."
"Sure! How did you get here without them?"
"I hopped."
"Retard!" She said and laughed.

I tried moving as fast as I could to keep up with Mona and Serena.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"Lacy's... So we can't be late!"
Lacy's was the fanciest dress shop in the area I lived in. Most girls came here to shop for dresses, for any occasion, at the last minute. The dresses are quite expensive but it's worth it because they are gorgeous!
"How may I help you?" The lady at the door asked.
"Gemnay" Serena said and the lady led us to an area, where there was two couches, outside a fitting room.
"Hello, my name is Lacy and who will I be helping today?"
"That will be me" I said.
"Is there any specific dress that you have in mind?"
"I'm not sure yet. Maybe something short, sweetheart neckline?" I said and she went to go find a few dresses that I might like.
"Do you need help trying it on?" Mona asked.
"Yes" I said since I had a broken ankle. We walked into the fitting room which was, surprisingly, roomy.

Dress 1
A light blue short dress with a sweetheart neckline, see through high neck with sequence on it. The top part was beaded and the bottom wasn't as beaded. It had a shiny silver belt.
"That looks nice" Serena said as I hopped out of the dressing room.
"It is", I looked at myself in the mirror that was standing nearby, "I don't like the top though."

I tried on more short dresses but it just wasn't working for me.
"I think I should go for a long dress, sparkly maybe, also sweetheart neckline.

Dress 5
A princess-like dress with a slight poof. It was made out of an orange and pink, shiny material. The neckline had silver beading on it and the dress had a silver belt.
"It's really nice but I'm not liking the pink." "What if you try something blue like that?" Mona said.
"We do have a blue almost similar to this one" Lacy added.

Dress 6
A light blue dress with a beaded top and had a smaller poof than the previous dress.
"I don't like this one at all. It looks horrible and it's way too heavy."

Dress 7
A creamy blue dress with a gold and silver beaded top half.
"I like the way this one flows but the top is hideous. No offence dress" I said and giggled.

I've tried on so many dresses. Am I ever going to find the right one! They were all nice but not the perfect one! Why is this so difficult?

Dress 8
A blueish turquoise dress that flowed into a lighter blue at the bottom. It had a crossed kind off a pattern on the top and no beadwork. It showed my back which I was completely fine with!
"You look gorgeous!" Serena said with a big smile as I walked out of the dressing room.
"I love this dress! It's the perfect colour! It's light and easy to move in." I said happily and twirled on my one foot.

This was it! The perfect dress! All I dreamed of was to go to prom with an amazing guy, which is Mike, the perfect, the perfect dress, which I now have, and to wear heels, but that's one thing I can't do. I guess I'll be the only one wearing flats but my feet won't hurt, well mostly because I'll be sitting half of the night.

I wanted to go home and admire my gorgeous dress but I couldn't because it had to be made. I'll only get it on Thursday, which is perfect because prom is on Saturday! I can't believe how fast a month passed!

At home...
TZZ! TZZ!

Mike: movies??

Zeena: Sorry, ankle really sore and I'm so tired. Rain check?

Mike: sure! Have you heard about Angelique?

Zeena: no... WHAT HAPPENED? How do you know and I don't.

Mike: I guess she told Ryan first and you know he has a big mouth... I don't want to tell you because I think she wants to tell you herself.

Zeena: ok thanks! I'm going to her place now... ♡♡

Mike: bye Zee Zee ♡
