Chapter 2

Things have been much too difficult in Sasuke's  life ever since he got that strange ability.

To be entirely honest, he wouldn't have cared at all if his only best friend wasn't involved in all this - he's still mercilessly rejecting anyone else who confesses after all, regardless of whatever percentage is displayed.

But that 100% he sees on Naruto was something he was finding terribly difficult to ignore or even fully comprehend.

It just didn't make sense to love someone that much but not even realize it. So Sasuke even considered the possibility that maybe it could mean something else but he honestly had no other explanation than the one Naruto had come up with - Naruto's explanation was the only one that made any sense but at the same time, it actually didn't.

It was getting too difficult for Sasuke understand anything now.

"Sasuke..", Naruto shook his shoulder lightly, startling Sasuke and making him turn to look at him, "I've been calling you for a while now, teme", Naruto stated worriedly, standing next to the raven's seat.

"..Sorry, I was lost in my thoughts", Sasuke admitted honestly.

"..I see", Naruto had noticed how the raven was still worried about his ability. Honestly, even though it was unbelievable even to Naruto he was able to easily believe it because it was Sasuke. He still didn't fully understand why it was worrying him so much. He tried to tell him he should just not think about it that much but seeing as that didn't help much, he didn't want to say anything else carelessly only to make it worse for the raven.

"let's go have lunch! I'm starving", Naruto said cheerfully, he hoped to at least be able to distract him a little from his worries.

"Yeah", Sasuke smiled gratefully, he knew how much he was worrying the blonde by brooding around so much but he couldn't stop. So Naruto giving him that much needed space and not asking about it, really helped a lot.

After all, there's no way he could just tell him, 'hey, dobe! It seems you're head over heels in love with me, haha-', no way, definitely not. Especially when the blonde himself hasn't even realized it yet.

Why..? How is this even possible?!!  He really couldn't comprehend it and it bothered him so much that he couldn't even stop thinking about it.

They headed to the backyard and sat behind a big tree at the very end. It was like their secret place at school cause no one came this far back into the backyard.

Thinking about it now, they spend a lot of time alone like this, but he's never noticed the blonde being nervous or shy about it, until now he assumed that people always blush and get nervous around the person they love, he wondered if he had it wrong all along..?

Naruto stared sadly at Sasuke who was once again lost in his thoughts, it's already been around two weeks since Sasuke talked about his ability, he's only been getting worse since - worrying about it that much. It hurt him so much to see his precious friend so lost and not even be able to help him.

Sasuke sneaked a glance at Naruto, still stuck wondering if the blonde was just hidding his nervousness or maybe he doesn't feel it because he's not aware of his feelings yet, but all such trivial thoughts were blown right off his mind when he saw the look on Naruto's face.

The blonde who seemed to notice Sasuke looking at him, gave him a bright grin talking about how delicious the food he's eating is, as if he never looked saddened to begin with. But Sasuke knew what he saw wasn't just his imagination.

He really wanted to beat himself up right about now, he knew that he was worrying Naruto and he knew the blonde was holding back on asking about it for Sasuke's sake. He should have tried to stop himself from thinking about it, but he felt glad about him not asking about it and just brooded more. How terribly inconsiderate that must have been..? He hated seeing the blonde look like that, and he hated more that he was the cause of it.
